1st: DAY Mrs M I & Mr M E Waldo Vom Busshof Mit Alfriston (Imp). A good-looking youngster who appeals with his well proportioned body and handsome head. His head is elongated with a slightly rounded skull and high set ears. He has strength in neck, good length and return of upper arm and a decent spring of rib with depth of brisket. His tail comes straight off his back and is carried with a slight upward curl. Moves with verve. Res BD. I preferred his eye shape to that of 2nd: GREGORY Mr A & Mrs C Jaudas Let It Rock. Rather unruly and needs to settle on the move but he has quality bone and substance with plenty of heart and lung room. 3rd: HUGGINS-DAVIS Ms A Tralale Logi's Legacy (ai)

2nd: WEARE Mr P M & Mrs L A Kamaze Revolution. His head was too broad for my preference and I found him rather shelly in body but he has a lovely dark eye, a kind expression and short back.

LD (3 Entries) Abs: 0. A class that made me think and where I had to make compromises.

1st: DISNEY, Mr P W & WHITING Mrs L Wonglepong Will's Faramir. An imposing dog who presents a square outline and has a short back, short couplings and is strong behind. His head is well proportioned with tight fitting lips and his neck nicely arched. Whilst he has bone and substance in abundance I felt he was lacking in elegance. Very steady on the move covering plenty of ground. BD.

2nd: DAY Mrs M I & Mr M E Raycris Constantin At Alfriston. This one had the elegant and noble bearing that I was looking for and his coat texture was better than the winner’s but he was so sloppy in front on the move. 3rd: WOOD, Ms S C & TAPP Mr I P Raycris Gabriel Of Teufelsmoor

1st: PROWSE Mr & Mrs R Quilesta Just Endearing. Presents a strong topline and is just off square with ribs carried well back, a short back and well muscled loin. Her hind quarters were lacking angulation making her rather straight behind. Her head is very pretty and of good proportions and she moves on a lively, springy gait with excellent forward reach. BSB.

1st: CAILE Mrs K Kamaze Cosmic Diamond. She is a good square shape, has decent angulation and is moderate all through but I found her lacking substance and rather narrow and lacking forechest. That said she moves well and has very good tail carriage. BPIB.

1st: STEVENS, Mrs L & Mr P & HARGREAVES Mr R Ghyllbeck Fringilla. She has a lovely dark eye and tight fitting flews but I found her a bit domed in skull. She is very well off for bone and substance, has a good length of upper arm, plenty of rib and is wide over the loins. Her stifles are rather narrow but moderately angled. On the move she was untidy in front but her lovely disposition was evident in her tail action and general vitality.

1st: OGLE, Mrs C & BUTLER Mr R Ursel Vom Ahler Esch At Raycris. Being black and white she appears very different at first but on examination she is absolutely cracking. She has substance combined with a noble bearing and is totally without exaggeration. Her beautiful slightly domed head fits cleanly into a strong well arched neck which in turn flows into her well laid shoulders. She is wide in chest, has a lovely big bum and moderately bent stifles. Her gait is light and easy and covers plenty of ground. When she grows some coat she will be unstoppable. RBB. 2nd: Q. Just Endearing.

LB (2 Entries) Abs: 0. I like both of these bitches for different reasons with the winner just having the edge in tail carriage.

1st: SUCHETT-KAYE Dr R Cazooska Pixie At Settskaye. Square outline, no exaggeration and is very strong and well muscled behind. Her head is well balanced with a dark eye and high set ears. She is very striking on the move with a terrific tail set and carriage. 2nd: FOREMAN, Mrs & Miss S & H & FOREMAN Mr P Celtaur Aquarius Lake At Toberworry. I like her for size and substance, her moderate angles and noble bearing. She has beautifully raised brows but not quite the balance in head of the winner who she was very unlucky to come up against today.

1st: OGLE, Mrs C & BUTLER Mr R Ch Raycris Freya JW. Simply stunning! Everything about her screams type; she fits the standard perfectly. She is so alert and energetic in appearance and her body strong and muscular. Her balance is there for all to see as she stands foresquare on well boned legs and tight feet. Her whole demeanour is one of confidence and grace. She is of high breeding and she knows it and yet her eye shows no sign of arrogance; instead it draws you in with its kindness under those beautifully raised brows. Her muzzle is strong as is her neck and is clearly fit for function. She is so clean over her neck and shoulders, her back short and strong and her moderately angled stifles wide and powerful. She moves with a very precise footfall on a springy gait and all the while holds her super square shape. Her outstanding beauty brings a tear to my eye. BB and BOB and to my delight Gundog Group 4.
