Class 85 SBD/B (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 218 NEWMAN Mr W J & Mrs S E Lanokk Violeska

This three year old lady was very typical, her head shape is good and pleasing but would have liked a slightly darker eye colour. She has a good front on her, shoulders well laid back and a decent return of upper arm. Stands on well boned legs. Ribs have a good spring and she has firm loin, giving a level topline. Quarters we well developed with stifles moderately bent. Good drive on the move just a shade close behind today. Coat of good texture.

Wow what a star, last judged this chap as a youngster when he went BIS under me at East Anglian Gundog and was thrilled to see him walk in to the ring today. Balanced from any angle, he is impressive on the stack, presenting that typical outline. Head is masculine with a kind eye and has good furnishings. Clean, strong, reach of neck which led into well assembled front, shoulders well laid back and a has the correct return of upper arm. Stands on well boned legs and neat feet. His body is well proportioned with ribs well sprung and loin firm. Quarters well made, with correct angulation. Excels on the move with a ground covering action, driving from the rear. I could not fault him, Best Dog and later Best of Breed, thank you for bringing him today.

One I have judged before and he did well under me then, a lot to like about him. Out of a bigger mould than the winner but very typical. Super headpiece on him with good furnishings. Front is well made, good reach of neck into a well assembled front. Body of good proportions, ribs well sprung and firm through the loin. Quarters are well developed, stifles moderately bent. Moved out well with a good driving action. Reserve Best Dog. Great to see him again.

I really liked this young lady, she was sound as a pound on the move. Just nine months old and of promise for the future here. She has a super headpiece, balanced with a kind eye giving an appealing expression. Front is well assembled, good reach of neck into well placed shoulders and a good return of upper arm. Stands on well bone legs and neat feet. Ribs developing nicely and firm through the loin. Quarters well developed for her age, which she used to advantage on the move. My Best Puppy and Reserve Best of Bitch, ones whose career I will follow with interest.

1st: 216 LEWIN Mr M G Vynesbrook Caribbean Red

Another who has done well under me before and please to see her again. Now twenty months old and pleased to see she is developing in the right direction. Her head is pleasing with a feminine expression. Front ok but would have liked a little more lay back of shoulder and return of upper arm. Body developing well, ribs springing nicely and firm in loin. Quarters are well made for her age, stifle moderately bent. Sound on the move.

Class 91 OB (4 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 215 COLLIER Ms I E Sh Ch Belatarr Mahalia Jackson Sh.CM

Another one out of the top drawer who has quality stamped through her. Lovely shape on the stack, strides on the move and grabs your attention. Her head is feminine, of good shape and well proportioned. Decent amount of furnishing to give that typical expression. Clean reach of neck into well set shoulders and a good return of upper arm. Body well made with good ribs and loin, giving level topline. Quarters are well developed and well muscled. She has a good driving action which gave her the class and subsequently Best Bitch.

2nd: 220 UPTON Mr P & Mrs L Tragus Foxy Lady

I liked this lady on the stack but she didn’t quite have the movement of the winner. Her head is well developed and with a good eye enhance her feminine in expression. Decent front assembly on her, body of good proportions, level topline. Falls off a shade over the croup and didn’t quite have the angulation of the winner. Was sound on the move but not quite as fluid as the winner.
