1st: 1050 WARD Mrs N L Elgert Lady Marmalade at Simbarra

I liked this lady on the stack as she has super outline and balance about her. She has a super action on the move and a good footfall. Head was pleasing, good over all shape and an appealing expression. Good neck in to shoulder, which were well placed. Well boned legs with the correct flat bone. Still needs to drop in to her front and her ribs needs to spring but has plenty of time to do that. Quarters are well developed with moderately bent stifles. Just needs to get her confidence, rather unsure of herself when she first entered the ring but got better as the day went on. Pleased to award her Reserve Best Bitch.

2nd: 1045 ADAMS, Miss L, HIRD, Miss C & HIRD, Mr M & LEWIS Fecimus Best Of Both Worlds

Pleasing in head & expression with good work, would just prefer better eye shape. Strong neck leading to well-placed shoulders & a good return of upper arm. Standing on good well boned legs. Depth to forechest, would like more spring to his ribs but still young and has time on her site. Well-developed quarters, with a good moderate bend of stifle, which gave a positive driving action.

Young black bitch who was just 12 months old, stood alone in the class and was second in post graduate behind a more finished bitch. Head is pleasing, plenty of work in it so should finish well. Good front assembly on her, shoulders well placed and standing on good legs with flat bone, feet need to tighten a little. Body of good proportion, ribs springing nicely and firm through the loin. Quarters well made, stifles moderately bent. Sound on the move just a shade untidy as she came towards me.

Now this was a top class exhibit she has a super clean outline, feminine with substance & yet an elegant side to her. She has a beautiful head & expression so typical of the breed, defined chiselling under the eyes and a pleasing expression. Clean reach of neck which led into correctly placed shoulders and a good return of upper arm. Standing on good well boned legs, would just have liked slightly neater feet. Correct depth to her forechest & ribs well sprung. Firm through the loin. Super quarters which are well developed, in super coat & condition. She excelled on the move with super footfall and the correct amount of drive. Delighted to award her Best Bitch and Best of Breed.
