Bracco Italiano

Thank you for a superb entry, I had the so great dog to judge and the most amazing open class. All four principal winners came from this class and I was thrilled when my Best of Breed to OWLSPOINT KING OF TROUBLE AT BRACKENVALE JW SHCM who went on to take Group 4, what an exciting young dog he is. For Reserve Best Dog it was his litter brother OWLSPOINT MASTER OF TROUBLE SHCM. Best Bitch was a very exciting youngster DORA OF BUSHWACKER (IMP ITA) at 17 months I think she will have a very exciting future ahead of her. For Reserve Best Bitch it was BRACCORION KARMA'S COMING who just pipped the postgraduate class winner.

My apologies for the short report on these two, the heavens opened as we completed the class and my notes got a little damp.

1ST BRACCORIONS MEANT TO BE WITH PICCORINO (MRS J ROSE)

Very eye catching young lady who really appealed, I thought she was lovely. I liked her head and expression, planes clearly divergent. Developing well in body with good angles front and rear. Had the better action on the move to take the class and Best Puppy. A lot to like about her.

2ND FEEL OF PRIDE EVA ELETTRA AT CANEMAMANS (IMP RUS) (MR I SLADDEN)

Lady of 12 months who is a little at that in between stage today. Body developing well, ribs well sprung for her age. Not quite the head piece of the winner. Needs to drop into her angles which she will do as she grows up. Scored in movement where she was more together and had that more typical gate.

1ST GUNSYN OVER MY HEAD CON MIKETTE (MR J & MISS L GILDER & BLUNDEN)

A young bitch of 18 months, I liked her a lot. Her head piece is elegant with good shape and divergence in head planes. Well made body of good proportions. Good angles front and rear. Excellent front assembly stands on well boned legs and oval feet. Needs to drop in to her front and spring in rib which she will do as she matures. Quarters well developed with hocks well let down. Good action on the move, just not quite confident and not giving 100% today on the move so lost out on RBB.

2ND TYRBECHGYN BELIEVE YOU CAN AT CANEMAMANS (MR I SLADDEN)

Pleasing head and expression on this lady. Well assembled with good front and rear angulation. Would like a little more bone. Once she settled into her stride she had a good action on the move and clinched this spot of the dog in third.

3RD BRACCORION'S ITALIAN JOB (MRS R JENKINS)

1ST OWLSPOINT KING OF TROUBLE AT BRACKENVALE JW SHCM (MR M & MRS K GOODE)

A smart young dog that I judged as a youngster and was thrilled to see him here as the more mature article. He is now just two years old and put together nicely, good square shape. Pleasing head shape, well developed with divergent planes. Good eye shape and colour that gave a masculine expression. Correct through the neck with super front assembly, shoulders sloping. Standing on well boned legs. Good through the body, ribs well spring and correct depth of chest at this age. Well-made hindquarters and once he settled he had that typical elasticity in movement. In the open class he just scored in this respect and I could not deny him top spot. Best Dog and later Best of Breed. I was thrilled to watch him take Group 4. A smart dog that will have a bright future ahead of him, I am confident.

2ND DORA OF BUSHWACKER (IMP ITA) ( FROST)

I really liked this young bitch just 17 months. No exaggeration just everything in the right place and to standard. She has a super outline, square and the required break and rise over the croup. Her head feminine, long and lean with sufficient divergence. She has balanced angles front and rear. She stands on well boned legs and neat feet. Good width of chest for her age. Moved out freely with reach and drive. I thought she had real style about her and to me really typical of the breed. If she had a little more maturity I think she would have pushed the dog hard for top honours. Today my Best Bitch, one whose career I will follow with interest.

3RD BRACCORION KARMA'S COMING (MISS E MR G TOWNS & LAY)
