Welsh Kennel Club

Breed: Australian Silky Terrier

VD (1,0) 1st Mault’s Red Angel at Limartine. Just the terrier type I was looking for. Of good size and masculine. Really mature with an alert and keen expression at all times. Really showed well. Correct head proportions and erect ears. Really keen eye. Admired the strength of his flat back skull and had correct bite and firm chin. Level top line held on the move. Good side gate action moving with reach and real drive belying his veteran years. Good colour and tans clear and defined. Silkiest of coats of correct texture. Pleasure to award BVIB.

JD (1,0) 1st Allen’s Limartine Red Poseidon. At just 13 months he is still a youngster with plenty of time on his side. Of ideal size and correct head proportions with an alert expression and terrier attitude. Used his ears well. Coat still dark and needs to clear and develop. Level in top line and had a good side gait moving out well in profile.

PGD (1,0) 1st Mault’s Limartine Redlining. Head well-proportioned but not as keen expression as principle winners. Ideal for size and plenty of substance. Sound away and back. Carried head proudly in side gait and showed good extension. Good tans and liked the tone of his silky textured coat.

OD (2,0) Two super males put down in excellent condition. Both really well bodied and very masculine. Different types as you would expect with their respective breeding and displaying many breed attributes. Handled to get the best out of their charges. A very close decision 1st Mackrell & Connelly’s Ir Ch Int Ch Gib Ch Lux Ch Sunny Pearls Gasper Amorose CJW16 CW17. A very handsome dog so representative of the breed. Looks a picture stood and really excels on the move. Clean head of correct proportions, keen terrier expression with excellent eye shape and small erect ears – so alert at all times. Good neck and well laid shoulders. Level top line which he held on the move and very good tail set. Moved with real drive and sound away and back. Colour and tans all in good order finished by a true silky texture jacket. Very pleased to be able to award him BD and BOB. 2nd Patterson’as Am Ch Lamplighter Bendill No Tail Left Behind at Brookemur. Another excellent example of the breed. Slightly larger than the winner all over but very balanced. Excellent head proportions with good back skull and keen terrier eye and expression. Super level top line. Tail not carried as erect as winner. Could be a little tidier coming toward but moves with real drive and excelled in side gait. Again very well handled. RBD.
