I would like to thank the Committee for giving me the opportunity to award my first set of Challenge Certificates at their show. Being the first judge from Northern Ireland in 40years to award cc’s in the breed it was a great honour and privilege to accept the appointment.

It was great to be able to get hands on so many quality dogs, and some that I have admired from the ring side. I would like to thank those exhibitors whom entered under me and accepted my decisions in a sporting manner.

1ST Hepper’s, MARDAS ALL BLACKS JW, today this dog blew me, away typical of this famous kennel, black 3 year old in good coat, well balanced with substance, clean broad head with kind expression and good stop, using ears to good effect, clean strong neck, good straight front when viewed from front and side, good brisket, deep chest & well sprung barrel rib, level top line, strong in loin, with tail straight off the back, well-muscled throughout, good turn of stifle, well let down hocks, with good tight feet moving with reach and drive, effortlessly covering the ground. He went well in the group but was not to be placed today. CC & BOB

2nd Percival’s, WYNFAUL THE WIZARD JW, black 3 and a half year old who was pushed for top honours today but just missed out, shorter than one, also in good coat showing himself off, nice clean head and neck, good front quarters, good brisket, deep body with good barrel rib, level top line and good tail set, good second thigh muscle, nice feet covering the ground with purpose.
