Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever.

Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge and to the exhibitors who entered. I was thrilled with the entry and it was a lovely day.

J (7,6) - 1 Titovets & Eremin’s Macdreams Trent from Cashel Vale RL1. 10 month old dog presented a lovely outline with a correct textured deep red coat. Correctly placed almond shape eyes, however slightly too light in colour at present. Level topline, leading to well set on tail. Strong straight front with tight rounded feet. Good angulation, moved well with good reach and drive. BP.

2 Yates’ Melanitta Milk and Honey. Just 6 months old good outline when stood, straight topline and good double coat. Correct wedge shaped head with well set triangular dropped ears. Good angulation front and rear however needs to tighten up on the move.

PG (15,4) – 1 Morgan’s Erikachen O’Ruadh for Deltandamba JW ShCM. 2 year old medium sized dog presented in good coat with well feathered tail. Stood out on first look around the class, well angulated front and rear. Moved well when settled however was slightly distracted today. Kind expression. RBOB.

2 Fuard’s Tollelkin Bay of Ice. 1½ year old dog who fought hard for his placing today. Different type to 1 and on the larger side of the standard. Medium triangular ears correctly positioned, alert expression, eyes well set apart on wedge shaped head leading to good strong neck. Nice tight feet, moved okay.

O (11,2) – 1 Strevens’ Erikachen Conaire at Tollisty JW. Litter brother to my Post Graduate class winner, another who stood out as the class entered the ring. Good head with clean-cut skull and eyes blending with coat. Ears set well back with correct amount of feathering behind. Rich red coat of correct texture. Good angulation and well muscled throughout. Great ring presence, moved really well. BOB

2 Tuck’s Tivalake White Christmas. Compact bitch with a lovely head and kind expression. Good bone and angulation, coat could have been slightly better presented and carrying a bit too much weight. However, strong and powerful movement.
