Afghan Hounds

Puppy D/B (2, 1abs) 1st Kemp’s Rhazmakh Tymeless At Suzaph , 11 month old shaded masked Gold boy, very houndy, lovely head with correct scissor bite and good under jaw, Dark Triangular eye, low set ears and prominent occiput. Good length of neck and fair lay of shoulder, nice length of upper arm, strong forelegs and big feet. Good spring of rib and depth of chest, level topline and good fall away, well set tail which he carried well. Nice out line for his age balanced front and rear angulation. Sound on the move, lovely free movement and covered the ground with ease. Best Puppy, so pleased to see him win the Hound Puppy Group and lovely to watch him a big ring when he went RBPIS.

Junior D/B (2, 1abs) 1st Kemp’s Rhazmakh Tymeless At Suzaph.

Post Graduate D/B (6, 1abs) 1st Kemp’s Rhazmakh Tymeless At Suzaph.

2nd Gardner’s Drishaun Black And Tan Rebel, At first glance and after moving the unseen dogs in this class, I thought he would be my winner, he had a lovely free movement and covered the ground with style and ease, he held his top level line on the move, had a good fall away and tail set and carriage. Looked very balanced standing and on the move. The problem came when I went over him, I managed to check his correct scissor bite and good under jaw, and he had a nice dark triangular eye, but did not want me to go over the top of his head to feel his occiput and ear placement. I have to say this young dog was not nervous or vicious, just naughty for his handler. With a little patience I managed to go over the rest of the dog and I was not disappointed in his conformation. He had a good length of neck, good layback of shoulder and length of upper arm, good depth of chest and spring of rib, strong loin, prominent hip bones, level topline and a good fall away, well angulated rear quarters. So much to like about this dog and I hope the owner and the handler persevere with him. He lost out on a first today purely because he played up. I liked this dog so much that I erroneously awarded him RBOB which was my mistake in procedure, I haven’t judged for a couple of years and need to get my act together. I am sorry to all affected.

3rd Heath’s Istani Chinese Whispers.

Open D/B (5) 1st Small’s Garamond Spiceberry JW ShCM Lovely feminine black & Tan bitch, well balanced, lovely outline, Nice head, correct bite, dark triangular eye, Good length of neck leading into a well laid shoulder and corresponding upper arm, Good width between front legs, good spring of rib and good depth of chest, Level topline which she held on the move prominent hip bones and good fall away. Moved soundly with a lovely free movement and showed with style. Won this class with ease. Beautifully presented BOB was pleased to see her get group 2 in the hound group.

2nd Heath’s Davashey Whos That Girl. Well-made brindle bitch, good head, Dark eye, correct bite, balanced in outline, nice shoulder placement, good spring of rib and depth of chest, with a level topline which she held on the move, correct fall away, good rear angulation and tail set, moved soundly with style and covered the ground well. Presentation really needs work as knots under the chest are unacceptable. Which is why she was not called in to challenge for the RBOB.

3rd Fisher’s Harlextan Tout Sweet Goto Ifmaraf.
