DOBERMANN

PUPPY (2,0)

A difficult decision between these two stunning top quality puppies, both with ample style and ring presence and many similar attributes.

1st Santoriello’s KORIFEY AMULET. Mature 7mths br/rust male of outstanding quality, presenting a super smart and elegant outline with each part flowing harmoniously into the next. Clean masculine head with narrow backskull, adequate underjaw and excellent length and depth to muzzle to present the correct wedge shape. Planes almost parallel, with slight stop, pleasingly flat skull and well-set ears lying close to flat cheeks. Super fill under dark almond shaped eyes with typical alert expression. Beautiful long arched neck into clean wither and well-laid shoulder with excellent return and length of upper arm. Sound front with well-developed forechest and depth to brisket, a little long cast at this stage of development. Straight front legs well set under and close lying, with strong pasterns and tight feet. The best of toplines, firm and straight, sloping slightly into well-filled croup and excellent tailset. Rear is well-muscled with correct angles and a well-bent stifle, and short strong parallel hocks. Super positive and fluid mover, accurate from all directions with great front extension and superb rotary action and drive from the rear, which ultimately won him the class. BP

2nd Ingram’s JOJAVIK FORGET ME NOT

Yearling (2,1)

1st Tant’s GRANADEYA AOSTA. 15mth bl/r. Smart compact bitch, plenty of bone and substance without losing femininity. Strong head with perfect parallel planes of equal length, slight stop and flat skull. Muzzle is deep, with excellent underjaw and clean lips. Keen expression from dark almond eyes with enough fill and flat cheeks; ears could be neater. Lean well-arched neck of sufficient length into good layback of shoulder, equal upper arm and tight elbows. Straight front and well-developed forechest, parallel forelimbs with strong round bone and correct catlike feet. Excellent short firm topline held on the move, matched with a clean underline with deep brisket and sufficient tuck up. Hindquarters are well-muscled and powerful although croup is a touch rounded for me. Excellent width of second thigh with well-bent stifle and short strong hocks. Moved straight and true from all angles, with good front reach and strong rear drive.

Postgraduate (2,0)

1st Lainchbury’s ASHLAIN SOTIROS, 2yr bl/r substantial male with a super compact outline, well-boned with clean rich markings. Strong head with good width and depth of muzzle, a little broad in back skull for me, flat cheeks with good fill under correct almond-shaped eyes. Parallel planes and good underjaw, would prefer slightly neater ears. Front is true with strong straight forelegs, decent forechest and well-sprung ribs with brisket down to elbows held close standing and on the move. Neck is slightly convex and muscular although could be a touch drier underneath. Short firm topline slopes slightly into well-filled croup and good tailset. Long well-bent stifle, straight parallel hocks and balanced angulation giving clean and purposeful movement.

Open (4,1)

1st Lainchbury’s ASHLAIN TRYPITI JW ShCM. Super smart 2yr bl/r bitch with the right balance of substance and elegance, and great attitude and ring presence. Clean flowing lines and well-defined dark markings add to the picture of style and quality. Head is excellent – strong yet feminine. Parallel planes with slight stop, well-proportioned muzzle to skull and sufficient underjaw give the correct elongated blunt wedge. Good fill under dark almond-shaped eyes and well-set ears lying close to flat cheeks giving the most wonderful arrogant expression. Beautiful long, clean crested neck flows into clean withers and well-laid shoulder with equal upper arm and straight legs set well under on strong pasterns. Excellent true front with ample forechest, deep brisket with elbows lying close and well-spring ribs. Tidy underline is matched with straight, slightly sloping topline into excellent croup and tailset, with short strong loin. Very well-angulated rear, well-muscled with good sweep of stifle and strong parallel hocks; back feet could be tighter. This bitch excels on the move, with precise footfall from all angles and super extension and powerful drive. Delighted to award her BOB and later watch her take G2.

2nd Wall’s DOBEHAVEN ATLANTIC STORM JW ShcM. 2yr br/r male of superb quality who I have judged before and rate very highly. Presented in athletic condition and handled to advantage, he has a super clean and elegant outline with everything in the right place. Very close up, just preferred the head and more powerful rear movement of 1 on the day, however I had no hesitation in awarding him RBOB.
