Lincoln Canine Society

Lincoln Canine Society  Open Show 17th December 2017 

Firstly can I thanks the officers and committee for the invitation to judge at this well run show,  also to my two stewards who did a sterling job on the day and last but not least the exhibitors for their wonderful entry and for everyone apart from one exhibitor accepting my decisions.

Puppy D/B 4 (2abs)

1 st & BP Foreman’s Putjade Purpleheart from Ambersun, a 7mth old bitch, sweet feminine head and expression, correct bite, good length of neck going into well placed shoulders, great angles both front and rear, good depth of chest for her age, correct coat and a nice dark golden colour, stood foursquare on good feet and bone, moved well once settled, good top line and tail set which was kept on the move, one I will keep my eye on in the future.

1 st Johnson’s Choriand Chances Are, 17mth pale dog, masculine head and expression, good neck, stood well on good tight feet and bone, nice depth of chest, good turn of stifle, level top line which was held on the move, moved well with drive. 

Post Graduate D/B 5

1 st, BOB & A Grp 4, Slack’s Norlis Nordic Princess, This bitch caught my eye as soon as she entered the ring, sweet feminine head and expression, good length of neck flowing into well placed shoulders, good depth of chest, strong level top line and tail set that was held firm on the move, correct angels both front and rear, stood foursquare on good feet and plenty of bone, moved with drive around the ring. Was a pleasure to award her BOB and Grp 4.

1 st Webb’s Mitchnel Bear With Me by Hectson, Masculine dog without being overdone at all, nice balanced outline, lovely head and expression, good neck and shoulders, nice depth of chest, good turn of stifle, strong level top line, moved and showed well.

1 st, BP & P Grp 3, Wilder’s Riverman Dior Jadore, 6mth old sweet feminine bitch, with the sweetest of heads and expression, lovely balanced outline, good length of neck flowing into a correct shoulder placement, lovely angles front and rear, correct top line and tail set which was held on the move, moved well once settled but for her first show I thought she did well.

1 st Clarke’s Wynjill Take A Chance On Me, Upstanding 17mth old dog, good head and expression, nice front and chest, good angles at the rear, strong top line, moved well.

1 st & BOB, Morris-Begg, Milligan-Bott & Bott’s Susis Snapshot By Thendara JW, Sweet feminie head and expression, good length of neck flowing into correct shoulder placement, good depth of chest, well sprung ribs, loved the angles front and rear, good top line and tail set which was held well when moving around the ring.

1 st Best AVNSC & A Grp 1st Spencer’s Nevedith Strictly Bruno (Hungarian Vizsla), Dog just turned a year, with the most adorable head and expression, strong neck flowing into correct shoulder placement, nice depth of chest and good spring of rib, well-muscled croup for his age, well developed hindquarters, well let down hocks, moved gracefully around the ring, another one to watch over the coming years, pleasure to award this young dog the Adult group without any second thoughts.

Nice top line and tail set. I would just say that the handler just needs to watch the placement of his legs.
