I would like to thank the committee for their kind invitation to judge at this lovely show. I was delighted with the dogs I had the honour of judging. A huge thank you to the exhibitors for the pleasure of your dogs. Lovely to see that spirits were kept high, even in the rain! I apologise for my health, those there will know what I mean!!!

1. Ms Powell - Bonario Burlesque
Lovely bitch, in super condition at 9 years of age. She holds a typical outline when stacked with good body proportions. Her head is long and lean with the divergent planes, with a dark tight eye. Muscular neck, chest reaching down to the elbow, well boned with a good bend of stifle. Very well handled by her young charge, moving her to show good extention - BOB

1. Miss Ryan - Patouche Jaimee
2 year old o/w bitch, she certainly showed off her lively and intelligent attitude being very attentive to her handler. Liked her cobby outline when stood. Her head is feminine, andcorrectly proportioned. She has a well sprung rib cage which reaches down to the elbow, with moderate rear angulation. She moved out well being true, but had a tendency today to loose her topline by roaching, which lost her the top spot - RBOB

1. Bagshaw & Precey - Tresallier Jeu D’artifice
BWT 3 year old bitch, from a smaller mould all round than the previous winner, but with substance and femininity to present a pleasing outline. She has a well proportioned head, with well set high ears, and lovely dark eyes. Her clean neck flowing into a well held topline. Liked her nicely boned limbs and tight feet. Watching her move in profile she has the desired brisk gait, whilst retaining her outline. - BOB

1. Mr & Mrs Harper - Magnus Fortuna Pitswarren
Was very taken with this 9 month old dog, he has an impressive outline when stood, one that catches the eye. There is no mistaking his gender, as he is all male, but he is in no way overdone. Kind and masculine head, lean and noble with eyes toning well. He has a good length of neck which flows well into his firm topline, He has a well developed body, with the chest well let down. Nicely boned limbs, strong pasterns and well arched toes. His hindquarters are moderately angulated with good width. On the move he showed himself to be a true mover in all directions. – BP & RBOB

2 year old dog, liked his overall size and shape, masculine all through. He has the leanness to his head and a kind expression. Clean muscular neck. Well developed through the ribcage and short coupled. Moderately angulated fore and aft. Well musculed hindquarters. Moving out well and true, but losing his topline on this rather cold and wet day!

Thought this 4 year old bitch was just lovely. She has a typical outline and sound construction. She is graceful and feminine yet robust and workmanlike. She has quality in abundance and never stopped showing. Lovely lean, noble head with dark oval eye. Strong muscular neck, flowing well into her topline, which was firm and level. Good depth to the brisket and well boned limbs. Pleasing hindquarters with good width of thigh and bend of stifle. Free and positive on the move - BOB

A very raw and mischievious 8 month old dog. Today proving to be a bit of a challenge for his handler. He is up to size but nicely proportioned and balanced. He has good depth, substance and nicely boned. He has a kind expression with good furnishings. His ribs are well sprung, and down to the elbow. Needing to strengthen up behind, but time is on his side. BP

1. Mrs Gray - Gonegos Climb Upon My Music
Mature male coming up 3 years of age. Thought him to be a robust and sturdy dog with good substance, bone and of a nice size. Lots to like about this smart dog. Liked his well proportioned head, which is all male but not overdone. He has a clean strong neck. Super depth and forechest with well sprung ribs. Moderate rear angulation shown in good muscletone. Moving out true and with purpose, just losing out for top honours.

Impressive 2 year old male, letting his presence be known. Found him to be upstanding and smart. He has a lovely flow from nose to tail when stacked, with a clean outline. He has a pleasing masculine head, with good furnishings. He has a well developed forechest and depth to the ribcage. Firm topline and well set on tail. Forelegs well boned and straight. Liked his muscular hindquarters, which have a good width of thigh. He had his ‘silly head’ on, when moving, but showed to be true and driving. - BOB

Fell for these two puppy bitches, both very endearing. Winner a 10 month old liver bitch, thought her to be a promising puppy with lots of character. When stood she shows lovely body lines and to be well proportioned. Lovely head piece, well chiselled and with a dark kind eye. Her body is well developed with depth to the brisket, and holding a firm level topline both standing and on the move. Liked her hindquarters which had good width of thigh. She is a happy mover and good drive – BP, delighted to watch her go onto win BPIS

17 month old black bitch, who looked a picture stood and showing herself off with confidence. She has a lovely flow to her outline. Such a feminine and well proportioned head, with those dark almond eye giving a lovely gentle expression. Clean neck of good length neatly fitting into her shoulders. Well developed forechest and with good depth to the ribcage. Firm and level topline with a well set on and carried tail. She was at one with her handler on the move and in profile showed good drive - BOB

14 month old bitch, very feminine and a little smaller framed all through. Presenting a pleasing outline when stood, and all in proportion. She has good width to the backskull and the typical frown, a kind clean eye. Good depth to the ribcage, with a level topline when stood. Nicely angulated hindquarters. Not completely settled on the move today, but showed to be true fore and aft.

2 year old bitch, who is well made throughout and has a balanced outline when stood. Liked her overall size and with a good leg length. She has a pleasing feminine head, with a good stop and frowning brow along with a hazel eye colour to give a soft expression. She is nicely boned and has the desired strength and depth to the body. Her movement in profile shows she keeps a firm topline and ever wagging tail

Really liked both of these dogs, both with many good qualities. Winner a dog who is nearly 10 years old and still strutting his stuff like a youngster! Loved his head, having good width to the backskull, well defined stop, and strength to the muzzle finished off with a clean hazel eye. He has a strong muscular neck, which flows well into a firm level topline. Great depth to the brisket and well developed forechest. Well boned legs with well padded feet. Liked his strong hindquarters, which he used to good effect on the move - BOB

9 month old NSDTR bitch, liked her overall size and compact outline. Pretty feminine head, being slightly wedge shaped with a keen expression . She has good depth to the brisket, straight nicely boned forelegs onto tight feet. Going through the bum high stage at the moment. Shown in good coat, and moving out well

Golden Retriever dog of 13 months old. Liked his overall body proportions, being balanced in profile when stood, with good height to length. Such a kind and gentle expression, with lovey dark eyes and pigmentation. Strong neck flowing into a firm topline. Chest reaching down to elbow with well developed forechest. Straight forelegs which are well boned. Firm topline stood and on the move. Moving well in the down pour of rain!

What class, a super class to judge with some lovely dogs.
Winner a 5 year old HWV bitch, and what a delight, thought she was just lovely. She is elegant and graceful but retaining the robustness and substance required. She has a really pleasing outline on the stack, and did not disappoint when going over her. Each part flowing seamlessly into the next from nose to tail. Super head piece, well developed body, well boned and angulated, with a good harsh coat. Moving with power, reach and drive
