I would like to thank the committee for their kind invitation to judge at this show. Doing a sterling job of finding a new venue at short notice. I would like to thank the exhibitors for their patience for the delay in getting into a ring. It was a great pleasure to be able to go over your dogs.

Bedlington Terrier

1. Tonrer & Oxbury - Miteymidgets Nations Unite At Jukenbill

Liked the overall size and shape of this 2 year old blue bitch, showing good balance and type. She has a pleasing head shape with a dark eye. Good depth to the chest, showing the arch over the loins and good underline. On the move she showed to have a good side gait being light and springy - BOB

1. Mrs Dodds - Birselaw Stand With Me

2 year old dark brindle dog. A study and workmanlike dog. He has a strong masculine head, with a dark eye and a kind and alert expression. His neck flowing well into a firm and level topline. Not as precise on the move today. Shown with a good harsh coat - BOB

17 month old bitch, who has good body lines and of a nice size and type. Just needing to finish maturing to finish the picture. She has a feminine head, with a lovely dark eye, well placed ears and a cheeky expression. Holding a level topline both stood and on the move. Moving true both fore and aft - BOB

1. S Kelly - Pacolito Simply Stratigic

Really liked this very promising 8 month old dog, thought him to be smart, workmanlike and with attitude. He has an appealing head, with a dark almond eye, giving a very alert and inquisitive expression. Neck flowing well into topline to well set on tail. Correct depth to brisket and spring to the ribs. Nicely angulated both ends. A pleasure to watch on the move – BOB, BP, Gp3, & Puppy Gp2

Solid and sturdily built 4 year old black dog. His head shows good length and correct width to backskull, dark eye and neat well used ears. He has strength through the body, with good ribbing and well boned legs. Moved OK, but not showing himself off to advantage today - BOB

Fell for this 6 month old bitch, such a little charmer. As expected she still needs to mature all through, but it is all there. She has a lovely shape when stood. Her head is well proportioned, with a dark eye and a hint of naughtiness! Well boned legs onto tight feet, good spring to the ribs. Holding a firm and level topline when stacked and on the move. Moving out true. - RBOB

8 month old dog, impressed by this young dog he is of the correct size, substance and masculinity. He has a natural presence that made him stand out. Found him to have a pleasing head, being correctly proportioned, having good width to the backskull, a dark eye, and well used ears! Neck flowing well into a firm and level topline. He is well ribbed and short coupled, with well boned legs. Shown with a good harsh jacket. On the move he showed to have correct footfall – BOB, Gp2 & Puppy Gp1

My little star of the day. Just loved this dog when he came into the ring. He has a real air about him. It is hard to believe he is nearly 10 years old, what a fabulous example of the breed. He made his presence felt as he strutted around the ring. He has an impressive outline when stood, his strong head, flowing lengthy neck, firm long topline all covered with a beautifully presented coat. Under the coat he is all male, super bone and deep ribcage which is carried well back. A pleasure to watch on the move, free and positive – BOB, Gp1, delighted to watch him go onto win BIS

4 year old bitch, loved her zest for life always raring to go. She is of a nice overall size and good body proportions when stood. Quality lean head, well placed ears, correct bite, with a dark and mischievious eye. Liked her lengthy clean neck, straight front and enough depth. Moving true both fore and aft - BOB

Super 8 month old, he has a really very smart outline on the stack and plenty of ring presence. Showing him to have strength throughout but not overdone with a compact body. Liked his well proportioned masculine head, skull being flat, with a dark eye. Lovely neck showing the slight arch flowing into his firm and level topline. Showing spirit on the move, with accurate footfall – BP & Puppy Gp3

This 15 month old Tri dog has an impressive outline, a real powerhouse of a dog, not an ounce of fat just solid and muscular. Showing good balance and proportion. Liked his well shaped head with a keen expression. Super body and depth, with good round bone. Well angulated hindquarters which he used to power around the ring - BOB

3 year old bitch, liked her overall size and proportions, a neat workmanlike bitch. Having a feminine head with the desired width to the backskull and short foreface and those lovely dark intelligent eyes. Able to span, with a good coat and pelt

Thought this 9 year old SBT bitch was a real credit and was as fit as a fiddle. She is of a nice size, with substance yet femininity. Her head has good depth and well developed cheeks, Lovely dark thoughtful eyes. Good width and depth to the brisket, nicely boned legs onto neat feet. Holding a firm topline and well set on and carried tail. Moving true and with drive

Liked the overall balance of this soundly built youngster, attentive to his handler and with terrific attitude

4. Hirst & Bibby - Taraiel Lorde JW (SBT)

Impressed by this 2 year old bitch. Liked her for her type and balance. Lovely head piece, with good depth and strength, well placed neat ears and dark round eyes. She has a deep and muscular body with the desired width in front. Level and firm topline, and well angulated hind quarters. Shown in gleaming coat and excellent muscle tone.

A quality puppy group, all good breed examples

2nd in adult group – at the end of a long day, still putting on a good performance

2. S Kelly - Pacolito Simply Stratigic (Parson)

3rd in adult group – Still demanding attention, moving out well in this group

3. Mr & Mrs Johnson - Garsayno Gold Kipling (SCWT)

Another super youngster, not as settled on the move at this stage as winners

4. Mr & Mrs Mann - Lynsett Miss Marple (Border)

Lots to like about this 9 month old bitch, she has a lovely ‘otter’ head, with good width and a dark eye along with a cheeky expression. Good depth to the body, but able to span. Standing on straight and nicely boned legs. Coat today not quite as harsh, but having a good pelt. Moving out well
