Judge – Mrs Jane Eyeington (Meadowdale)

Thank you to the committee for their invitation to judge, and my stewards for keeping me in order. A huge thank you to the exhibitors for braving the cold, I was delighted with the dogs I had to judge, a real credit to their owners.

Bedlington Terrier

Junior (4,1)

1. Martin & Strutt - Poppyblu Sirius

Lovely 15 month old blue dog. Much to like about this young dog, now starting to come together. When stood he has a pleasing outline, shapely and with strength. Liked his head piece, good length with the desired depth. Large strong teeth, correctly shaped dark eye and low set thin leathers. Neck of good length, fractionally up on the leg at the moment, liked his body lines, they show the graceful curves of the rise over the loin and tuck up. Well boned limbs, correct hare feet. Shown in good coat and texture. Moving with a good springy stride, not quite as tidy in front, but holding a lovely outline in profile.

2. Mr & Ms Baldwin - Woolytop Golden Surprise – BP & Puppy Gp1

3. Mr & Ms Baldwin - Woolytop Lavender Girl

Post Graduate (1,0)

1. Mrs Offer - Woolytop The Wherryman

Beautifully presented blue dog just over a year old. Top end for size but with good balance and nothing overdone giving the desired graceful outline. A lovely dog to go over, muscular and lithe with a good coat with the correct linty texture. He has a very appealing head, nicely wedge shaped, with good depth and lovely dark eye and pigmentation. Well boned limbs, good hare feet, chest well let down. He has the desired rise over the loin and well tucked up. Moderate bend of stifle with strong well let down hocks. Keeping his topline and well carried tail on the move. He has a lovely side gait. Today just preferring the bitches front movement. But loved him - RBOB

Open (3,0)

1. Rainsbury & Hamilton - Jetsway Absolut Ice At Tangris

Fell for this 2 year old blue bitch, she never stopped showing and has a lovely zest for life. On the stack thought her to have beautiful body lines, graceful and shapely yet with substance and muscular. She has a balanced head shape, good depth and clean. Well placed thin leathers, dark eye and lovely silky top not. Pleasing length of neck, good depth to the ribcage, nicely boned limbs with correct hare foot and good pads. Liked her topline and underline, displaying the arch over the loin, which she kept when standing and on the move. Moving out with precision both fore and aft, showing the light and springy gait.– BOB & Gp3

2. Mrs Offer - Woolytop Theodore

3. Ms Lawrie - Miteymidgets Endless Love

Puppy Stakes (16,10)

A super class of youngsters, right down the line

1. Mr & Mrs Keely - Alhambian Diana Dors (English Springer)

At only 6 months old, this lovely bitch holds a shapely silhouette when stood. She is feminine all through and had that typical springer naughtiness. Everything is in proportion and well balanced. A pleasing head shape, eye still to darken. Good depth to the ribcage, nicely angulated hindquarters. On the move showed to be free flowing and true.

2. Mrs Sims - Arcticskies Thunder Snow (Siberian Husky)

3. Mr & Ms Baldwin - Woolytop Golden Surprise (Bedlington)

Brace Stakes (14,8)

I must commend all of the handlers in this class, all dogs and handlers doing what was asked of them with style and precision

1. Mrs Offer - Bedlington Terrier

A very well matched pair of blue Bedlington Terriers, for size and body shape. The handler moving them together at the correct pace to show a good gait on both dogs and precision in the turns. Dogs and handler in unison and working well as a team

2. Mrs Crowley - Chihuahua (Smooth)

3. Miss Wilson - English Springer
