Gundog Club Of North Wales

Gundog Club Of North Wales 26th March 2017 Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge at your friendly and very well run show. I also must thank my steward who made sure my ring ran smoothly. I was delighted with my entry in Golden Retrievers and for the opportunity to also judge Curly Coats and Tollers for the first time. Golden Retrievers Puppy 6(2) 1. Williams Cesarka Pin Up Girl Super 8 months old youngster who is balanced throughout and caught my eye on entering the ring. Gorgeous head with feminine expression. Straight front limbs, good reach of neck onto shoulders with correct layback. Super level topline and balanced in front and rear angulation. She was a delight to watch on the move. BP & RBPIS 2. Williams Cesarka Peggy Sue Litter sister to 1 and I was really splitting hairs between these two quality puppies. This bitch shares her sisters sound construction but it was the movement on 1 today that I preferred. Junior 7(3) 1. Carrington Largymore Lustre Very pretty head on this young bitch with soft expression and good pigmentation. Liked her reach of neck on to super layback of shoulder and good depth of chest. Short coupled with good hind angulation, correct set on of tail and strong level topline both standing and on the move. Moved very soundly with excellent reach & drive. Loved her. 2. Plevin Bowshella Razzle Dazzle Well balanced youngster with a kind, melting & gentle expression and possessing great pigmentation. Good reach of neck, correct length to her forehand and layback allowing her legs to be placed well under her chest. Nicely angulated fore and aft. Moved very soundly. Graduate 9(3) 1. Millington Carneval Of Golden Duck Well constructed pale boy with a big frame to fill. Super head and kind expression with good pigment and correct ear set. Correct layback of shoulders, straight well boned limbs with neat feet and showing good depth to his chest. Front & rear angulations of equal proportions creating a nicely balanced picture which he held well on the move. My notes say ’a very handsome chap’. 2. Gunter Kendaamber Rosy Glow Mature happy bitch with a pretty, gentle expression. She is well constructed throughout with good bone, lovely reach of neck on to soundly constructed shoulders and a level topline and correct tail set. Moved very well. Post Graduate 5(4) 1. Coulstock Cwmtaff Jack The Lad Mid Gold happy young dog with a soft gentle expression. Straight well boned limbs, good angulation front and read and good depth through the chest. Short in couplings and dead level topline and correct tail set. Moved well. Open 6(2)1. Good spring of rib and short coupled. Well angulated hind quarters. Dead level topline and correct set on of tail making for excellent overall balance on the move. BOB & RBIS 2. Millington Mitcharron Buster KeetonMature mid gold dog with a beautiful dense wavy coat. I loved his kind yet masculine head.
