RICHMOND CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW - 10 SEPTEMBER 2017 IRISH SETTERS I felt honoured to have had the opportunity of going over such a quality entry and I was really pleased with all my winners, all the exhibits were in excellent clean condition and the majority having the typical Irish expression and temperament. Handsome dog with good head shape & dark eye, clean neck & shoulders, strong topline & well angulated quarters, good feet, sound mover. 2. Hogarth's Sh Ch Avacet Snowdrift. Attractive dog with good head planes, arched neck, well angulated quarters, deep chest, tight feet, in good coat, moved ok. 3. King & Eccles Cataluna Hickory At Byztsar M Puppy 5 (0) 1. Hart's Gwendariff In The Limelight With Gilliegrae. Nice 6 month old puppy, attractive head with dark eye, well angulated front with good reach of neck, good over the shoulders, well bent stifles and good feet, moved well for a baby. 2. Pullen & Atkin's Covarney Lil' Tipple At Jacingail. 8mth old puppy with a well balanced head & kind eye, well constructed quarters, nice slope to the topline, tight feet, moved steadily. 3. Upstanding puppy of almost 12 months in good coat, handsome head with dark eye of correct shape, neck flowing cleanly into the shoulders, good front & rear angulation, sloping topline, a well balanced picture, moved with purpose, Best Puppy. 2. Gisby & Parsons' Suteresett King of Hearts. Another attractive headed puppy with good eye shape & colour, good neck & shoulders, clean in outline all through, well constructed quarters front & aft with the tail well set on, moved well. 3. Hart's Gwendariff In The Limelight With Gilliegrae Junior 6(0) 1. Ciechonska's Riverbrue Altissimo At Aoibheanne. Nicely maturing young dog of good type, attractive head with correct eye shape, clean over the neck & shoulders, good in outline, well made forehand with good spring of rib & short couplings, strong rear quarters, good tail set, moved well. 2. Muir & O'Connor's Gwendariff I'm Comin Out. Pleasing young dog of good type, attractive head with dark eye, an overall balanced picture with correct sloping topline, good quarters & tail well set on, moved well. 3. Hogarth's Twoacres Bubblin Spring At Halingswood Yearling 1 (0) 1. Parsons' & Gisby's Suteresett Tom Collins At Bransett. Pleasing young dog of good type, well shaped head with dark eye, an overall balanced youngster with sloping topline, good quarters & strong rear end, tail well set on, moved ok. Grad 4 (0) 1. Gratton's Bardonhill Snow Wolf With Glenlaine. Well balanced young dog with a nicely chiselled head & dark eye, clean through the neck and shoulders, good spring of rib, strong loin, a well angulated youngster, moved ok. 2. Nicholls' Romarne Under Orders JW. Masculine dog with attractive head, good length of neck and clean shoulders, sloping gently to the croup, well angulated with good stifles, short hocks and neat feet moved ok. 3. Gilks' Danwish The Lion King Post Grad 6 (1) 1. Bott's Gwendariff D'ya Know My Name By Bardonhill JW. I loved this youngster, he is well balanced with a lean chiselled head and melting expression, a lovely dark eye and low set ears, correct length of arched neck fitting cleanly into his shoulders, well constructed forehand with plenty of bone & good spring of rib, correct outline and tailset, his well bent stifles giving him drive on the move, RCC. 2. Edwards' Gwendariff Ps I Love You Bonhomie JW. Attractive dog with balanced head, raised brows & soft expression, clean neck and shoulders with good angulation fore and aft, good outline and tail well set on, tight feet, moved well. 3. Hoskins' Sandstream Just A Breeze Limit 14 (3) 1. Mitchell's Amblin's Sweet William. Excellent young dog with lovely masculine head, well angulated forequarters & good layback of shoulder, well bodied with good couplings, well bent stifles & hocks well let down, in good coat, move out well. 2. Cuddy's Suteresett Rebel Rouser In Balbriggan JW. Handsome dog of excellent type, good head shape with dark eye and good length of muzzle, good over the neck & shoulders, straight front with good pasterns, strong over the croup, well bent stifles and short hocks, moved well. 3. Longbottom & Stewart-Ritchie's Gwendariff Unknown Soldier JW Open 6 (2) 1. McLarnon Sh Ch & Ir Sh Ch Gwendariff Nuts Aboutu Glenavna JW. This dog fills the eye with his many attributes, handsome head so balanced with the correct amount of stop, masculine yet melting expression with a dark eye, raised brows & low set ears of correct length. He is well-built and racy with no hint of coarseness, a strong neck of good length, well laid shoulder placement with a good return of upper arm, deep chest with plenty of heart room & ribs carried well back, a firm sloping topline with good tail set, well bent stifles and short hocks which he used on the move with an effortless driving action. Another Sh Ch worthy of his title, turned out in full coat and condition as always, he possesses a beautiful appealing head with the true Irish expression in his dark well shaped eye, plenty of work but not overdone, moderate length of neck fitting cleanly into the shoulders, firm topline & well muscled loin, good over croup with the correct tailset, good front and rear angulation, moved with drive. 3. Crocker & Siddle's Sh Ch Copper's War of Roses BITCHES Veteran 2 (1) 1. Humphreys' Sh Ch Henaleas Carry on Flirting JW. This girl possesses a lovely head, dark eye & raised brows, strong arched neck into well placed shoulders with good layback, straight front, well bodied with a lovely sloping topline and good sweep of stifle, tight feet, moved well. BV. M Puppy 3 (1) 1. Rorke's Zakhan's Demelza. Two lovely babies in this class, feminine head with sweet expression, good eye shape & colour, nice reach of arched neck fitting cleanly into shoulders, well bodied for her age, attractive in outline, neat feet, moved well for a puppy. 2. Frampton's Strathmead Noella. Similar to 1 with attractive head and expression, neck of good length set neatly into shoulders, good body shape & outline with arched loin, good angles all through, just preferred the head of 1 at present moved well. Puppy 5 (1) 1. Byrne, Edwards & Howlett's Konakakela Just Meant To Be Siochanna. Attractive puppy with feminine head, dark eye and lovely expression, good neck and shoulders fitting smoothly into the topline, well coupled with well angled stifles and clean hocks, moved ok. 2. Gratton's Glenlaine Flopsy Mopsy. Another promising puppy, lovely head and expression, good forehand and well made body, well angulated rear quarters with good tail set presenting an overall balanced outline, needs to settle on the move. 3. Hall's Glennara Gilleisne Dervla NAF Junior 12 (1) 1. Humphreys' Crimpington Flirtini To Henaleas. Attractive young bitch with feminine head, dark eye and pleasant expression, good neck & shoulders with well angulated forehand, pleasing overall shape and outline with strong rear quarters, moved well. 2. McDonald's Delsanto Miss Freya. Another pleasing young bitch of good type, good head shape with pleasing expression, well developed front end with good depth to the chest, well balanced rear, moved well. 3. Wilkins' Margretwoods Pooh Bear Yearling 7 (1) 1. Gisby's Suteresett Pina Colada. Young bitch of good size, attractive head with appealing expression, good in outline, well angulated fore & aft, correct sloping topline, good rear quarters, stifles and hocks, moved well. 2. Feminine bitch who possesses a lovely head, good shape with raised brows, dark eye and gentle expression; she has a good length of neck & good angles fore and aft, clean in outline from withers to croup & well set on tail, moved with purpose. 2. Brown’s Baystrider Bluebell. Of similar size & outline to 1, with attractive head, good eye shape and colour, well angulated quarters, short coupled, good stifles and short hocks, moved well, just preferred the head of the winner. 3. Lovely bitch with feminine head, dark eye and good ear carriage, good in profile with well angulated front quarters, good depth to the chest, well coupled with good stifles and short hocks, moved to advantage to win this class. 2. Hall's Harreds Hettie. Another quality bitch with attractive head, soundly constructed throughout, well sprung chest with plenty of lung room, short coupled and strong short hocks, moved well. 3. Waterton's Sandstream Welcome Breeze JW Limit 9 (2) 1. Gisby's Suteresett Once Upon A Dream. Quality bitch, beautiful head with true Irish expression, good head planes, dark eye and good ear set, won this class with her excellent neck and shoulders, well angulated front & rear, short coupled with strong hocks, moved well. Feminine bitch with pretty head, dark eye and appealing expression, arched neck flowing into well placed shoulders, well angulated front end with good spring of rib and good couplings, well bent stifles and short hocks moved well. 3. Pepers' Flannan's Bumble Beezz Open 5 (0) 1. Armitage's Sh Ch Gwendariff Coco Nut Cream. This bitch is full of quality with feminine balanced head and attractive expression, good reach of neck fitting cleanly into the shoulders, well bodied with a firm topline, good over the croup with correct tailset, moved soundly with style and drive and I was pleased to award her the CC. 2. Sturrocks' ShCh Forfarian Hey Sexy Lady JW. Another quality bitch that possesses a lovely feminine head, full of quality, good shoulder placement with correct layback of shoulder, sloping topline and strong couplings, good over the croup with tail set on correctly, moved well with purpose.
