Breed: Norfolk Terrier

The Ladies Kennel Association 2017  Norfolk Terrier    Judge: Mr Andrew Gullick (Merauder)       My sincere thanks goes firstly the exhibitors. On what was a day of the worst of travelling conditions some of the entry managed to get to the NEC safely, I had visions of LKA of yesteryear. I live near to the venue but not even my scheduled transport were able to go a few hundred yards in my home town. I made the decision to somehow get to the train station and board the first available train at 9:10am out of Rugby to the NEC after letting the organisers know at 6.45am what I could achieve should I be unable to travel by car and very conscious of not letting anyone down. I managed to get to the breed ring approximately 9:40 knowing that judging was delayed by the organising committee. The halls were notably empty with many benches untouched. The true nature of true dog folk showed through with the few who managed to get into the halls with their charges. Even I wondered how I would get home but in the moment when we make these decisions the show must go on and indeed it did. My entry may have been decimated by the travelling conditions but the overall quality was still there in the dogs I had to go over.    BEST OF BREED : 6334 GEE Mrs R Watercroft Pop Picker   Dog CC : 6341 JENKINS Miss D Kinsridge Witty Banter   Res Dog CC : 6332 GEE Mrs R Watercroft Calling Time   Bitch CC : 6334 GEE Mrs R Watercroft Pop Picker   Res Bitch CC : 6353 THOMPSON-MORGAN Mrs C S Belleville Ovation   Best Puppy : 6341 JENKINS Miss D Kinsridge Witty Banter   Best Veteran :       Class 1715 MPD (3 Entries) Abs: 2   1st: 6355 WALKER Mr D Roxypark Spring Time     7 month old red of good size.
