Junior Dog or Bitch (8,0 abs)

A lovely class of youngsters.

1. Winney’s Jimjen George Cubitt – 8-month old blanket tri male. Really smart boy, well in proportion. I liked his head and soft expression. Dark eyes, correct bite and low set ears. Nicely developed forequarters for his age with nice lay of shoulder. Good bone and a level topline. Well-muscled throughout and hocks firm. He moved soundly in all directions with drive. Pleased to award him Reserve Best of Breed & Best Puppy.

2. Henningsson-Dundas Julemark Pandora – 10 month old tan and white bitch. Sweet girl, feminine head and good length of neck leading into great shoulders. Nice depth of chest and ribbing. Stifles well bent and correct tailset. She was a pleasure to watch on the move and strode out freely. Preferred the head properties of 1.

3. Tofts Jarrowley Larksmere

Post Graduate Dog or Bitch (5,0abs)

1. Vickers Rosroden Cherry Kisses - 2-year-old tri bitch. She was compact and presents a pleasing outline. Kind eye and nice pigment. She had good feet and depth of chest. Forelegs straight and well underneath her. Short coupled and a firm topline. Great angulation fore and aft. Would have liked her to have slightly neater movement coming towards me but she moved out very well in profile with reach and drive.

2. Firth’s Nictoney Polyanna – Another 2-year old tri bitch. Lovely head and expression. Great bone and strong quarters. Correctly set ears of good length. She is nicely put together with well laid shoulders and firm elbows. Good bend of stifle and hocks well let down. She moved with ease. Preferred the more compact picture and topline of 1.

3. Laughton’s Brimbleway Beaufort Bloom

Open Dog or Bitch (7,2 abs)

1. Vickers Stormpasture Jasmine of Rosroden – It was a delight to go over this now 2-year old blanket tri bitch again having judged her as a puppy. So pleased to see she’s kept everything I loved about her back then. Classic melting expression, correct bite and good length of neck. Neat feet and a level topline. Excellent forequarters with well laid back shoulders and equal length of upper arm. Stifles well bent and firm, parallel hocks. All of which she used to move effortlessly around the ring, reaching out well in front and driving from behind. Pleased to award her Best of Breed.

2. Henningsson-Dundas – Julemark Trueman – 3-year-old tan and white male. Masculine boy of good substance. Kind head and eye. Long neck flowing into nicely laid shoulders. Well ribbed and short coupled. Good feet and straight forelegs. Well angulated in the rear allowing great drive but preferred the fore angulation of 1.
