My sincere thanks go to the officers and committee of the Spire Toy Dog Society for their kind invitation to me to judge the Pomeranians at this well run show and for their warm welcome and hospitality. Also, to the exhibitors for their entries and good sportsmanship which created a lovely atmosphere and to my two excellent stewards, Jillian and Sheila, who did a great job of supporting me.

I was really impressed by the quality of the dogs that I had the pleasure of judging today. Construction and movement was good on the whole, coats were correct and the dogs were all clean and well presented.

POMERANIANS

J (9,4a) 1 - J Chinn & J Chinn’s Gilberta Wings Magical Eyes at Midawn (imp). A 10-month old orange bitch of lovely dual purpose size & type. Nice to go over on the table with a nice head & expression, dark pigment & ears of good size. Nice front, shoulders are well laid & her ribs are well sprung, good topline & tailset with lovely plume. Dense coat of correct texture & lovely construction, Presented & handled beautifully. Really sound on the move which won her this strong class and BPIB.

3rd – J Chinn & J Chinn’s Queen Time Milana Of Nobleblood at Midawn (Imp)

PG (6,2a) 1 - J Chinn & J Chinn’s Midawn In With A Chance, A beautiful clear orange 3 year old dog. Lovely head & expression, alert & attentive, nice dark pigment, foxy in head, good topline & well sprung ribs, good tail & plume, strong and well-muscled construction, wonderfully sound on the move & eye-catching in profile. Presented & handled well as you would expect from this kennel. Very pleased to award him RBOB.

2nd – J Chinn & J Chinn’s Midawn Turn On The Charm,

3rd – M Green’s Pai Deng Jen Bao of Chiao Li Ya (Imp)

O (4,1a) 1 – S Smith’s Taa Palatis Under A Glass Moon at Sueacres (Imp) JW, A fabulous dual purpose white bitch rising 3 years old. Pleasure to go over on the table with her perfect mouth and clean teeth, very pretty and feminine head, lovely oval eyes with the darkest of pigment, neat, well placed and erect ears. Short neck set into well laid shoulders, harsh and dense double coat which was beautifully presented and a long straight tail that sent the largest of plums over her back which resulted in the most fabulous and eye catching of side profiles, wonderfully sound on the move which didn’t surprise due to her lovely construction. Perfect sized, great shape and condition. My BOB and went on to win TG3.
