Beagles - I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge at this show and also for providing me with such a nice big ring to be able to see these hounds stride out. I would also like to thank the exhibitors for bringing some lovely hounds for me to go over. J (4,1) 1 McBains & Stevens Blitzlilie Winter is Coming, 7mths black blanket tri puppy bitch with the most appealing  soft feminine expression with good dark pigment. Good substance to this youngster and already showing good hind quarters, driving her round the ring. Slightly bum high but I’m sure will level out with maturity. A very happy hound in the ring BPIB. 2 Hill’s Donay Faith, 8mth tri puppy bitch slightly longer cast than one, with nice feminine expression, good length of neck, correct angulation front and back, nice striking bitch but just felt 1 had slightly better drive. 3 Stevens & Nash Maruby’s Dashing Darcy. PG (5) Splitting hairs between 1 & 2,  1 McBains & Stevens Redcap Bella Sorella JW ShCM, black banket 3yr old tri bitch, looking a good condition, lovely head and front assembly, nice tight feet and showing good bone, nice level topline which was held on the move and throughout, this bitch never faltered could not deny her BOB. 2 Ambridge Tiger Lilly Blossom, lovely 2yr tnw bitch, again another shown in good condition, tad longer in loin than 1, good level topline held on the move, sound front assembly, good bone with smart feet. Would have liked to see more drive from her today. 3 Brownlow’s Bellvalley Dunnit. O (4) Again splitting hairs between the top two 1 Ambridge’s Bondlea Legion JW, 4yr old tri dog, nice male head but still with a soft expression, well set leathers, ideal reach of neck, nice typey hound for me, moved round the ring with ease, deserved RBOB. 2 Hill’s Donay Special Delivery, 6yr solid type tri dog, strong male head, he has good substance throughtout, nice tight feet, level topline and good tailset, again moved round the ring with drive. I just felt the head was a bit strong for me. I would like to add this dog was shown by a youngster who showed confidence and knew how to get the best out of this dog. Very Well handled. 3 McBain & Stevens Bondlea Layman.
