Veteran Dog (3,2abs)
1st ALDABROOK MORNING GLORY AT RACKENS SHCM (MR K & MRS R HORLER) Such a handsome dog, classic head with the softest of expressions, beautifully balanced and showing good width of skull. Strong through the neck and shoulder, deep well sprung rib, firm loin and a lovely broad rear. Lovely fluid movement.
MPuppy Dog (5,3abs)
1st LIRIC FUSILIER WITH SHILLAY (MRS MR & MRS M I & C JUSTICE & FORD) Stylish youngster very together. Pleasing head, good length to foreface, dark eye, clean neck and shoulder. Very much a baby in body with a strong topline but his movement was much more together than 2nd . Gleaming condition and lovely tan finished the picture.
2nd AMSCOT RAISIN BLACK (MRS J COLLINS-PITMAN) Well boned youngster lovely to see him enjoying his day out. Pleasing shape with good angulations, masculine head, dark eye, lovely front assembly and firm topline, saw enough true movement I’m sure will settle to the job with time.

Junior Dog (2)
1st BENBUIE SECRET AGENT (MISS A WARREN) Mature young dog of the correct size and substance. Good head planes but I would prefer a touch more foreface. Pleasing front assembly with enough forechest, deep well sprung rib correct length of back. Maintained his topline when moving showing a good profile movement. Just edged the class on depth and maturity.
2nd CARPEDIEM PROFESSOR GREEN AT KILNRAE (MRS K M MARSH) Preferred the head on this boy but not as mature in body as my winner. Well built dog with bone to match, good head planes and a gentle expression. Strong through neck and shoulders with a matching rear. Handler really got the best of him on the move, showing great reach and lovely profile action.

Graduate Dog (4)
1st LIGNUM MASTER MARLIN AT KEASWOOD JW (MR K & MRS S L HORN) Good sized dog with a balanced outline. Dark eye, nice depth of muzzle, quite a strong stop, showing plenty of brainroom. Firm through the neck and shoulder with a pleasing return off upperarm. Deep well sprung ribs under a firm topline leading to sweeping stifles, for me he carries his tail a little high on the move. Moved true but did not appear to be enjoying the conditions especially in the challenge.
2nd KIMGILEE MAORI STORYTELLER BY BROBRUICK (MR C & MRS S A MITCHELL) Compact dog with lovely bone. He has a beautiful head, well proportioned with a soft expression. Shoulders laid back, good length to upperarm and lovely forechest. Plenty of heart and lung room, fairly short back and broad width of thigh, not quite as good in topline as 1st. Moved smoothly showing good extension.

Post Grad Dog (3)
1st YENNADON LOCHAN AT RUBYMOON JW SHCM (MR K D & MRS C E BUTLER) Good looking dog, nice size with plenty of substance. Well shaped head with good depth of muzzle, would prefer a touch more length to balance it out. Clean through neck and shoulders, lovely forechest and plenty of rib, wide well shaped stifles gave a strong, smooth action around the ring. In lovely condition.
2nd KYUNA OLYMPIC ARROW OF TYMORA (MRS H J & MISS S J TYE) Pushed 1st hard just not quite as smooth in front action today. Pleasing head with a melting expression, lovely reach of neck, balanced angulation front and rear, deep in chest showing plenty of heart room. In excellent coat and condition. Showed lovely profile movement.
3rd YENNADON RENAISSANCE WITH GADIEBURN (MRS E ASHTON)
Limit Dog (8)
1st LIRIC SOUVENIR JW (MRS J NESS) Classic Gordon showing proper ruggedness, loved his size and substance. Masculine head of good proportions, strong through the neck and shoulder, deep rib under a firm topline with a strong rear giving excellent drive.
2nd MUCKYPUP'S D'ARTAGNON JW SHCM (MRS T BRYANT) Unlucky to meet winner, another good-looking dog, lighter framed than my winner but with a really nice make and shape. Pleasing balanced head with a kind expression, excellent neck and shoulder flowed smoothly into a firm topline. Plenty of body with a good spring of rib. Lovely fluid movement.
3rd YENNADON FORTES AT RUBYMOON (MR K D & MRS C E BUTLER)
Open Dog (7,1abs)
What a quality class of dogs a delight and a headache to judge.
1st EW/ITA/INT CH LUDSTAR FREDERICK FRANKENSTEIN JWW-WW (DR M & DR L S IVALDI) A real star of a dog and he knows it, from nose to tail he just flaunts his quality. Masculine head with a dark eye, excellent reach of neck, well laid shoulders and the right amount of forechest. Deep in rib and firm in topline he flows to broad well muscled quarters which gave true ground covering action. Watching him drive around the ring took my breath away. Put down in fantastic coat and condition. CC & BOB
2nd SH CH LOURDACE FULCRUM JW (MESSRS D & D, MRS & MISS ALCORN, CROWTHER, BADDELEY & SWAN) Another cracking dog with the best of heads, gorgeous soft eye and nicely shaped backskull. Firm neck leading to excellent front assembly and deep body under a strong topline. Clean bone with good legs and feet. Moved out true with lovely reach. RCC

2nd ARDNADAM RED KITE (MRS PEARCE) Nice sized dog with excellent bone, kind eye in a pleasing head. Well constructed with a good spring of rib under a firm topline. Such a shame he does not seem to want to show himself off.

Clean neck leading smoothly into laid back shoulders. Deep ribs under a strong topline, good coupling with broad stifles and well placed hocks. Moved with drive just needs a little more confidence.
2nd LIGNUM WHIRLWIND (MR G I & MRS A J PALLISER) Close up to 1st just preferred the head on my winner as this young lady is a touch stronger in expression. 3rd CROMASAIG BEDAZZLED JW (MR A, MRS K & J MACARA)
Open Bitch (8)
1st SH CH LAURELHACH LEGACY JW (MRS F BOXALL) Headed a fantastic class, what a super bitch this is epitomising what I look for as a Gordon Setter. She was everything I wanted in construction, type and movement. Feminine head with lively expression, elegant arched neck of correct length. So easy on the move showing free ground covering action. In beautiful condition CC
