Cotswold & Wyevern Labrador Retriever Club

Breed: Retriever (Labrador)

My sincere thanks to the hardworking committee, my two excellent stewards and finally to the exhibitors for allowing me the honour of judging their dogs. It is an immense privilege to be asked to judge and I thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Minor Puppy Bitch (18,7a)

1st Meadowline Mi Suena A Bruxinho

Her head for me was just what I was looking for on a minor puppy bitch, good length and breadth to her skull for her age, soft gentle expression, with good pigment, clean neck, super lay of shoulder with good length to upper arm, firm topline, good spring of rib, well developed quarters. Nothing over done, just a picture of balance and feminity, moved with such precision for a baby and could not be denied her win in this strong class. Best Puppy Bitch

2nd Cremino Crushed Ice

Very similar comments apply to this baby, again just right for age in every way, clean outline, feminine head with soft, gentle expression. Well made thoughout, firm topline, in good coat and condition, moved out well and pushed the winner hard.

3rd Carpenny Virginia

Puppy Bitch (10, 3a)

1st Kimbajak Duchess Eleanor

Feminine head, with again the skull proportions I would want to see at this age, gentle expression, good reach of neck, good lay of shoulder, firm in topline, good spring of rib. A shade long in body at this stage of her development which means she doesn’t look quite balanced at the moment but I liked her overall shape and type. Moved well.

2nd Tissalian Killer Queen at Glosmere

Very pretty young puppy, looked a picture stood when she pulled it all together, well made throughout, good reach of neck, good spring of rib, firm topline, well developed quarters, in good coat, moved ok when settled
