LUTON CANINE ASSOCIATION PREMIER OPEN SHOW

WEDNESDAY 30 DECEMBER 2015

GOLDEN RETRIEVER JUDGE: PAULA HILL – SANDAULA

Absolutely delighted with having the highest entry of the show and wish to thank the exhibitors for accepting my decisions gracefully. What a delight to have a huge ring and I was able to assess everybody together. All dogs were shown in good condition and only a few could have been presented better. I thoroughly enjoyed my day.

PUPPY (15 Entries, 4 Absent) What a super class!

1st   Wheeldon Mr M & Mrs I   CATNNELS CRÈME DE LA CRÈME

A charming 6 ½ month baby who I'm sure will have a bright future. So balanced for her age with everything where it should be, a pretty feminine head with kind eyes and good pigment, straight front with the best of feet. Level top-line with good bend of stifle and well muscled for age. When she moves, she moved so true for and after with correct foot placement. Delighted to award her the class in excellent company and to see her take PG3.

2nd   Tracey Mrs Sue   DENICOL CHINESE WHISPERS

Another cracker who will do well. A smart outline, heavier frame than winner but similar remarks apply, shown in dense coat of correct texture, balanced outline, she just lost out on movement.

3rd   Griggs Mrs Jean   MULFIELD AMETHYST

JUNIOR (10 Entries, 2 Absent) Movement played a part in placings.

1st   Tuck Mrs P   RICHANA HARVEST GOLD FOR TAMSBROOK

Alot to like with her, not in her best of coats but hides nothing, mature body without being overdone for age, good balance of body to bed ration, pretty head carried on a strong neck of good length flowing into correct shoulders, good length of upper arm, moved out well with good drive.

2nd   Hudson Miss DJ   AYMSBURY ASHISHA

Longer cast bitch who has great ring presence, I prefer her when she isn't moving as quick, good ground coverage and very attentive to handler.

3rd   Clarke Mrs VB   IVELWELL IMPERIAL FIZZ

SPECIAL YEARLING (13 Entries, 5 Absent)

1st   Keightley Mrs GA   GOLDLYN GO ROAMING TO RICHANA JW

I was delighted to finally get my hands on this boy and was not disappointed in any way. At 20 mths he is just coming together, masculine head without being overdone in any way with a gentle expression, excels in forehand construction, deep chest with close fitting elbows, level top-line with tail straight of back holding on the move, shown in hard condition but when he moves you see him at his best, a long free stride with good driving action from the rear. Delighted to award him BOB. He showed his socks off in the Group.

3rd   Hudson Miss DJ   AYMSBURY ASHISHA

POSTGRADUATE (15 Entries, 7 Absent)

1st   Griggs Mrs Jean   MULFIELD PEACH BLOSSOM JW

Last judged her as a puppy, delighted to see she has reached maturity. She won this class on her excellent forehand, placing her legs well under her body, good tight feet, strong feminine head of good proportions, deep thru chest with close fitting elbows, short coupled, well rounded hind quarters, I wouldn't want her any heavier, straight hocks, shown in good condition, moved true for and after. RBOB

2nd   Barber Miss NL   STVINCENT GOLDEN GUN FROM SWANSREACH

My notes just say, how much he has changed since I last judged him. He has matured into a well balanced dog, and dropped into his angles, good length of neck, carrying the correct amount of weight. He comes into his own when he moves, long easy strides with good foot fall, at one with his handler.

3rd   Tracey Mrs Sue   DENICOL GEORGIA BROWN

OPEN (7 Entries, 4 Absent)

1st   Tracey Mrs Sue   DENICOL CHYNA DOLL

8 year old blonde bitch who stole my heart. Slightly longer cast in body, good spring of ribs, excellent bend of stifle, excels in forehand. She has the most cheeky expression and ring presence that says look at me. Once she settled on the move, she moved steady and true and easily won this class. I wouldn't want her any heavier which cost her in the challenge.

2nd   Webb Mrs S   FLETLANDERS PUMPKIN AT HECTSON

3rd   Maker Mr & Mrs TP   THORNYWAIT COLDPLAY IN DREAMLAND
