The Scottish Pomeranian Club Open Show 30th August 2015

 Many thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge their open show. I enjoyed the 

opportunity to over some super dogs. The day had a lovely atmosphere, and a big 

thank you to my daughter, Ashlie, for stepping in as my steward, what a super job 

you done, making my job less stressful. Also big thank you to the ladies in the 

kitchen for a super lunch. 

Veteran D/B (6,2) 

1. Ogilvie’s ,CH. Degsy Star Man At Pakov JW. Nearly 8 Years and looking 

good. Sweet head and expression. Dark Eye and good pigmentation with 

small well set ears. Compact short body in good harsh coat. Moved Well. 

BVIS 

2. Nixon’s, Kazpom Born To Be Wild. This is bitch is nearly 11 years old and still 

has a sparkle in her eye. Alert expression, small ears well set. Showing a 

good body shape and beautiful rich full orange coat. Up on her toes, Moved 

Well. 

Minor Puppy Dog (2) 

1. Van De Burgt’s, Norvanik Love Machine. 8 month old, Bright orange coat, 

Sweet face, Small dark eye and small well set ears and clean mouth. Straight 

front with tight feet. Body should mature nicely . Straight tail, set high. Moved 

very well. BMPIS. 

2. Kelly’s, Moorslade Cracker Jack. 8 months, Lots of plush puppy coat, Will be 

later maturing than 1. Lovely face and expression, Good Body and angulation. 

Needs to settle on the lead. Appears to be leaning against or fighting it 

therefore affecting movement. 

Puppy Dog (1) 

1. Pope’s Keisyl Wishful Thinking. 8½ month Orange. Coat of good texture with 

plenty of harsh gurad hair. Head correct and maturing nicely, small ears, nice 

body and tail set well. Lacking a little confidence on matting today. 

Junior Dog (7,3) 

1. Fleetwood’s, Kimimele The Dashing Prince by Abbeyleigh. 11 Month old jet 

black boy. Good things come in small packages is the saying. This boy has 

the sweetest of faces, Dark small eye and tiny ears hidden in profuse head 

coat. Small compact body, short in back, tail set well. Holds super shape. 

Moved well. BPD, BPIS 

2. Smail’s Altina’s Olaf at Toybox. Just into Junior has correct head and nice 

expression, good dark eyes, small ears. Well sprung rib and of good size. 

Well set tail and good textured coat. Moved Briskly. 

3. Nixon’s Kazpom Hello Sunshine 

Special Yearling Dog (4,1) 

1. Stewart’s, Earnpride Devil Dancer. Orange boy at that teen stage, full spirit. 

Alert expression, slightly longer in body, tail set well, moved nicely. 

2. Johnstone’s, Cairnpapple Surprise. Orange Sable, Dense harsh coat covering 

a cobby firm body. Broad head with medium round eye. Ears slightly wider 

set. Moved briskly. 

3. Barr’s Degsy Heart Breaker 

Post Graduate Dog (2) 

1. Ogilvie handling for Lees, Moipom Silversmith. Cream boy in super coat. 

Makes a lovely shape.Good head, small eye, good pigment and tiny ears. 

Good body short in loin. High tail set with large plume. Move a little wide 

behind. 

2. Johnstone’s, Pakov’s Just A Fluke for Cairnpapple. 4 year Orange Sable, 

Small compact package. Broad head, small ears, good rib cage and short in 

back. High tail set. Moved narrow behind. 

Limit Dog (6,1) 

1. Smail’s, Toybox Golden Dragon. Orange boy with very sweet head, small 

dark eye, clean mouth, small ears. Well bodied with short back and good tail 

set. Moved very well, so sorry he didn’t show to his full potential in the 

challenge. 

2. Adamson’s, Sylvids Thistle Do JW Sh.cm. 3 year old Cream boy, super coat, 

nice head, good pigment, small ears. Good body, short loin, tail carried well. 

Moved well. 

3. Nixon’s, Pakov’s Icemaster of Kazpom 

Open Dog (5,1) 

1. Odd & Holman’s Ch. Kamis Mystical Legend Of Brooklyn at Altina JW (IMP). 

Relish the chance to go over this boy and he doesn’t disappoint. 2 year old 

rich coloured shaded sable. Profuse coat in good condition made the most of 

with sympathetic trimming. Head with sweet expression, small dark eye, clean 

mouth and neat well set ears. Straight front, good lay of shoulder. Well ribbed, 

short loin, good angulation and well muscled rear. High tail set and full plume. 

Moved on his toes, straight going and coming. Super. BD, BIS. 

2. Fleetwood’s, Gypsypoms I’ve Got An Asbo by Abbeyleigh. Lovely expression 

on this black boy. High ear set hidden in profuse coat. Small compact body. 

High tail set carrying good plume. Moved very well. Unlucky to meet 1 today. 

RBD. 

3. McDowall’s, Carberry Midnight Quest. 

Minor Puppy Bitch (3) 

1. Fleetwood’s, Abbeyleigh Cherry. 8 month old baby. Very full of herself, sweet 

face, high ear set. Short well ribbed, carrying super coat of good texture. Tail 

set well. Needs to settle on the move. BPB 

2. Norman’s, Abbeyleigh Black Diamond Is Alexiasdream. 8 month old black 

with plenty of coat. Sweet face. Medium dark eye, small ears, compact body, 

tail well set. Leaning on lead causing her to crab today. 

3. Oglivie’s, Pakov’s Midnight Tink. 

Puppy Bitch (2) 

1. Yule’s, Eluy Frozen Magic. Sweet feminine face, small ears and eyes, clean 

mouth. Good body with high tail set. Moved Well. 

2. Odd handling for Knott, Foxhue Mystic Angel. 11 month cream sable. Slightly 

rounder in eye, medium ears, good body, tail set well. Growing big coat, 

moves well when settled. 

Junior Bitch (3) 

1. Stone and Lewis’s, Klassna All That Dream For Bilijees. 1 ½ year Orange, 

Short face with clean mouth. Growing good texture coat with high tail set and 

plume. Good body and moved well. 

2. Adamson’s, Donnels Fandabidosy. 15 month Orange Sable. Sweet face, 

clean mouth, good coat, moved narrow behind. 

3. Stewart’s, Earnpride Dancing Diva. 

Special Yearling Bitch (1) 

1. Nixon’s, Kazpom Spill The Beans. Orange Sable, Good mouth, small ears 

with nice expression. Good body, short in loin, covered with good harsh coat, 

moves well when in her stride. 

Post Graduate Bitch (7,3) 

1. Wright’s, Toybox Baby Blonde At Corenko ShCm. Nearly 3 years old, Pretty, 

warm cream bitch, sweet head, short body, well ribbed with full coat and 

plume. 

2. Stone and Lewis’s, Bilijees Crème Del La Crème. Cream bitch with broader 

face than 1. Nice body, growing coat at the moment, moved well when in her 

stride. 

3. Yule’s, Lillise Jump For Joy. 

Limit Bitch (8,1) 

1. Ogilvie’s, Pakov’s Black Number. 21 month black. Pretty face, full of 

expression. Small ears. Well ribbed body in super coat. High tail set and full 

plume. Moved Well. 

2. Norman’s, Tsarslaua Krov Olivia Victory Of Alexiasdream (Imp). Typey girl 

with sweet face and small ears. Carrying a huge coat. Felt if she was carrying 

a little less weight her movement would be freer. 

3. Pope’s, Lillise Sahara To Keisyl. 

Open Bitch (3,2) 

1. Nixon handling for Ogilvie, CH. Pakov’s Proud To Be Black. 18 month jet 

black bitch with pretty face and small ears, neat feet. Well sprung rib, short 

loin and tail carried high. Moved well. Just holds a better shape than her 

kennel mate. BB, RBIS. 

Special Bred and Domiciled in Scotland Open (5,1) 

1. Ogilvie’s Pakov’s I’m A Celebrity JW. 4 year old boy. Nice face, clean mouth, 

small ears. Well ribbed, short coupled and in huge coat. Good tail set, moved 

really well. 

2. Johnstone’s Cairnpapple Surprise. 

3. Chalmers and Smail’s, Toybox The Karate Kid. 

Special Bred By Exhibitor Open (4,1) 

1. Fleetwood’s Abbeyleigh Smarty Pom. 15 month dog. Good head and pigment, 

small ears, good body with lovely harsh coat. Stands four square naturally, 

good tail carriage, moved well. 

2. Stewart’s Earnpride Devil Dancer. 

3. Johnstone’s, Cairnpapple Surprise. 

Special Not Bred By Exhibitor Open (4,1) 

1. McDowell’s, Degsy Meant To Be At Carberry. 18 month cream sable. Sweet 

head, good mouth, short body carrying harsh coat. Moved ok. 

2. Chalmer’s, Earnpride Foxtrot. 6 year old boy. Good head, well bodied, high 

tail and plume, movement let him down. 

3. Johnstone’s, Pakov’s Just A Fluke For Carinpapple. 

Special Orange Open (5,2) 

1. Nixon’s, CH Kazpom Just Be Coz. Deep Orange bitch. 4 years old, pretty 

head with small well set ears. Super body, well ribbed. Stands up really well, 

moved well today. RBB. 

2. Smail’s, Toybox The Karate Kid. Orange boy with sweet expression. Very 

typey, moved a little close behind today. 

3. Barr’s, Pakovs Take it As Red For Degsy. 

Special Orange Sable Open (1) 

1. Johnstone’s, Cairnpapple Surprise. 

Special Any Other Colour (3,1) 

1. Fleetwood’s, Gypsypoms I’ve Got An Asbo By Abbeyleigh. 

2. McDowall’s, Degsy’s Star Attraction. 6 year old boy. Sweet face, full harsh 

coat, slightly longer body, moved ok. 

Brace (6,1) 

Wow what a sight, 5 teams took to the floor, I am sure they’ve all been practicing. 

Not a foot out of place. 

1. Pakov’s Brace, Lovely pair of girls, like peas in a pod. Almost synchronized, 

super type. 

2. Barr’s Brace, A mother, son combination. So alike, super coat, good Expressions.
