Some dogs were a little bothered by the tannoy speaker immediately above the ring, but overall temperaments were good.

Puppy Dog (1)

1st Bennett’s Gheluvelt Attention Seeker

11 months old. Good bone but needs to develop in body. Strong skull. Slight Roman nose. Muzzle could be longer in proportion to skull. Dark eyes, a little round. Tall, diverging, low set ears. Scissor bite, well-pigmented lips. Balanced angulations. Chest needs to be more let down, but this may come with maturity. Good tight feet. Good colour, excellent mask. Covers the ground but still a little loose in movement.

1st Jellicoe’s Goldmali Fire With Fire

In good condition. Good top and underline, though chest needs to develop. Balanced angulations. Level bite. Eyes slightly rounded but dark and well set. Ears of good size and shape. Front feet could be more rounded. Good coat colour and texture. Excellent mask. A little loose on the move. Initially a little shy today, but settled and became happier and more confident later. RBD.

1st Lloyd’s Ch Belsharose Nebraska

Catches your eye immediately for overall balance and construction. In excellent condition and has matured considerably since I last judged him. Excellent top and underline. Slightly sloping croup. Correct front. Moderate, balanced angulations. Good tight feet. Chiselled head with parallel head planes. Dark almond shaped eyes. Ears of good shape but a little tall. Excellent coat colour and texture, good mask. Good movement. BD. BOB.

Puppy bitch (2)

1st Bennett’s Gheluvelt Amphora Gold

11 months old. A little long in body. Well proportioned head. Dark almond shaped eyes. Ears of good shape though a little tall. Good pigmentation. Balanced angulations. Needs to mature and develop in body, but acceptable for age. Feet a little long. Coat of good colour and texture. Good movement for age. Very happy outgoing temperament. BP.

2nd Bennett’s Gheluvelt Amazing Grace

Good overall shape, but again, needs a little time to develop. Muzzle could be slightly longer in proportion to skull. Dark eyes, a little rounded. Balanced angulations. Coat of good colour and texture. A little erratic on the move.  

Post Graduate Bitch (3, 1 absent)

1st Sherwood-Brown, Ralph & Baker’s Pliquette Zelpha Via Zodantta

17 months old. On the fine side but overall outline good, although chest needs to drop and body needs to develop. Still quite narrow in front and close behind. Well-proportioned head and skull. Excellent mask. Eyes could be more almond shaped, but good dark colour and obliquely set. Ears of good size shape and set. Feet of good shape. Out of coat today, so lacking an undercoat. BB.

2nd Brett’s Goldmali Fabulous

A little long in body. Topline could be firmer. Balanced angulations. Coat of good colour and texture, good mask. Dark, slightly rounded eyes. Ears of good size and shape but a little low set. Tendency to pace.

Open Bitch (3, 1 absent)

1st Lawless & Holmes Ir Ch Jolie De La Belle Pitou At Revloch

Square outline with good top and underline. Front angulations a little straighter than moderate rear. Parallel head planes Dark eyes, but could be a little more almond shaped and more obliquely set. Ears of good size and shape but a little low set. Good coat and colour, good mask. Feet a little long. Tendency to throw front legs out on the move to accommodate drive of rear action. RBB.

2nd Kirk’s Bonvivant Sorciere

A little long in body. Strong head and skull but with sufficient chiselling. Rounded eyes that could be a little darker. Low set, diverging ears. Angulations a little too straight and this was reflected in movement. Well muscled. Slight hook in tail. Coat of good colour and texture, but losing it today.
