GREAT DANE

My thanks go to the committee for inviting me to judge at their well organized and popular open show. I was impressed with the quality and gentle nature of my entries, and thrilled to see my BOB awarded Working Group 2 and my BP Working Puppy Group 2

PUPPY DOG (1)1 1. Jackson-Haines Vanmore Vision at Leighsham 7 month old fawn, black masked boy with attractive, correctly proportioned head, good ear set and dark eyes, producing a pleasing expression. Correct bite and drop of lip, good front with straight legs, having plenty of bone and tight feet. An elegant neck, nice deep chest with elbows well tucked in, and good turn of stifle. Confident in character, he moved well around the ring.

JUNIOR DOG (4)4 1. Harrisons Teesdane Truly Theodoric by Emaneaz, amazingly mature for his 15 months, this balanced, outgoing fawn is developing well. Correct bite and drop of lip, slightly broader top skull, dark eyes and neat well set ears. Filled front and, viewed from the side, good lay of shoulders, deep chest with well sprung ribs, strong top line, good tail set and well muscled throughout. Presenting a well proportioned outline, a great deal to like about this steady mover. 2.Ellis & Khannas Ravendane Encrypted by Harvaxe a 12 month harlequin with a bouncy personality. Nicely marked with a clean underground, he used his ears to accentuate a very smart head, on a reachy showy neck. Pleasing proportions side on and powerful on the move, just preferred shoulders of 1. 3.Cartledge-Blakes Carbarline Top Secret 4. Jackson-Haines Vanmore Vision at Leighsham

POST GRADUATE DOG (5)4 1.Cropleys Yaresville Fernando, 2 year old, well constructed harlie having the smoothest, truest movement coming and going. Correct bite and broad muzzle, presenting a well filled chest, strong, straight forelegs and a balanced outline. Deep brisket with correct angulation front & back, a good top line and rise over the loin and muscled hindquarters. Handled well, with movement that would be hard to improve on, just needs to find more dash and dare. 2. Harrisons Teesdane Truly Theodoric by Emaneaz 3. Battersbys Internos the Heavyweight 4. Cartledge-Blakes Carbarline Top Secret

OPEN DOG(3)1 1.Battersby & Williams Ch. Internos Challenger JW ShCM. How this black, almost 4 year old, has matured since I first awarded him BIS at the SGD club as a junior. He has more than fulfilled my expectations, proudly exhibiting smoothness and strength of form, the most elegant of outline and the dash and dare wished for in the breed. A strong head on a long crested neck, seamlessly flowing into creaseless

withers. He has broadened in body and was presented in gleaming condition. He strode out evenly with drive to become BD and BOB, continuing to show with attitude and elegance, as he was awarded Working Group 2.

PUPPY BITCH (4)2. 1, Bishtons Jaydania Jessica Andrews. Striking black masked, 10 month, fawn with the prettiest expression, using her ears and furrowed brow to the full. Her head, carried high, long in foreface and equal in breadth throughout, having dark, alert eyes, a good strong jaw and correct scissor bite, presented an attractiveness that, together with her elegance of form, correct conformation and movement, gained her BP and then Working Puppy Group 2 2. Battersby & Williams Internos Empress, 11 month blue who also used her neat, well set, ears to her advantage. Good teeth and smart head, in balance with her body, set on a clean, showy, arched neck. Front well filled with deep brisket, a nice tuck up, presenting a very pleasing outline. Springy and lithe on the move, just preferred movement of 1.

JUNIOR BITCH (3)1. 1. Roans Carbarline Penny Lane JW first of 3 quality, 16 month, fawn litter sisters to be gone over today. Exuding confidence, dash and dare as she extended her elegant neck. Good head planes and neat features, narrow throughout with a correct bite and nothing overdone. Filled front, straight forelegs, well laid shoulders, deep brisket accentuated by her tuck up and rise over her loin. Good turn of stifle and hocks low helping her power around the ring. Strength and elegance, all over, a very showy girl.

POST GRADUATE BITCH(4)3 1. Sister number 2 Roans Carbarline Let It Be with many of the attributes of JB, a liitle richer in colour and possibly slightly more mature in body. Beautifully balanced outline, excitable with an ever wagging, well set, tail, and muscled hindquarters. Just needed to steady up on the move. 2. Croplys Yaresville Frankie, harlie litter sister to PGD, with allover correct, body composition, producing a strong, yet balanced, outline. Beautiful on the move, keeping her top line as she pushed off her well muscled hind legs. Lovely to go over and shown in hard condition, again, needing more dash and dare. 3. Cartledge-Blakes Vanmore Hiawatha

OPEN BITCH(6)2 1.Hogarths Sunlind Summer Lovin’ 2 ½ year well constructed, rich fawn with a black mask and commanding expression. Perfect head planes, good length of foreface, narrow skull and muzzle equal in breadth, good dentition, strength of jaw and neat drop of lip. Kind dark eyes with furrowed brow and ears used well, producing an alert and slightly aloof attitude. Neat feet on well boned legs, having good angulation, front and rear, sprung ribs and great depth of chest with elbows tucked under. Well conditioned muscular body, with no hint of being coarse, Elegance and attitude in abundance, topped off with a free, smooth, driving gait. BB & RBOB 2. Roans Carbarline Lady Madonna. 3 rd of the litter sisters. Richer in colour, slightly more substantial in build and stronger in head, than JB & PGB but equal in qualities. A lovely mover , shown and showing to every advantage, just unlucky to meet my BB today.
