Lichfield Canine Society

Thank you to the committee of Lichfield C.S for inviting me to judge at this friendly, well run show.

Beagle Puppy (3,1a)

1st Phillips Lanesend Rossut Sizzle - 6 months old, blanket tricolour bitch. So much to like about this smart little lady. Super pretty head. Beautiful dark pigment and lovely leathers. Good neck, well laid back shoulders. Round bone, tight well knuckled feet. Well let down chest. Fabulous bend of stifle. Level topline both stacked and on the move. Took a while to settle but when she did, moved with real drive. Best Puppy & Puppy Group 4.

2nd Webster’s Moonjoon Sweet Nothings - 11 month old, blanket tri bitch. Bigger made than 1. Presented in good condition and very well schooled. Dark pigment, well flewed lips. Well sprung ribs. Moved out well with drive. Would personally prefer less weight on her to make her more balanced.

Beagle Junior (2)

1st Jackson’s CH Bayard Make Amends – 16 month, tricolour bitch who screamed “Beagle”. Lovely temperament. Nice shape and size. Beautiful soft appealing expression. Nice dark eye and long leathers. Totally balanced outline. Good shoulders and round bone. The most level of toplines. Short coupled, excellent ribs. Tight, firm feet. Tail correctly set and carried well. Good reach and drive. Presented in excellent condition. Was later informed that this win gave her her final JW point. Best of Breed. Delighted to see her win the Hound Group and go on to win Reserve Best In Show.

2nd Holland & Peterson’s Troopersway Boy Wonder – Have previously judged this tan and white boy. Now at 15 months , he is starting to mature into an adult. Good dark pigment and nice length of leathers. Super neck. Good bone. Nice feet. Moved with enthusiasm. Well handled.

Beagle Post Graduate (5,2 abs)

1st Webster’s Dialynne Numero Uno – Handsome masculine, tricolour boy. Dark pigment, would prefer a slightly darker eye, to finish off an otherwise lovely head. Excellent bone. Good leathers. Arched neck leading onto a level topline. Good short, dense coat. In very good condition. Well muscled. Good bend of stifle. It was lovely to see such a nice rapport with his owner.

2nd Minshall’s Bombini The Prettiest Star – Very feminine girl of 21 months. Pleasing head with good length of leathers. Tight firm feet. Lovely shape and size. Would prefer more weight to complete the picture. Moved out well with enthusiasm. Well handled.

3rd Holland’s Rochalbury Duster

Beagle Open (2)

1st Jackson’s CH Bayard Make Amends

2nd Phillip’s AUS CH Briarley Boy From Oz for Lanesend (imp) – 5 year old masculine tricolour boy. Loved his shape and size. Pleasing head with dark pigment and wide nostrils. Dark eyes and good leathers. Fantastic round bone. Nice tight, firm feet. Straight forelegs and short pasterns. Level topline both stacked and on the move. Well sprung ribs. Well muscled thigh and excellent bend of stifle. Correct tail set and carriage. Powerful quarters ensured he moved with great drive. Reserve Best of Breed.
