Gordon Setter Open (3, 2 abs) 1. Caulfield’s Capledrae Whaes Like Us. 8 yrs and in full coat. Deep, head, keen expression, good in front, elbows well let down, feet could be better. Good angulation throughout but moved a little close behind. BOB 2. Caulfield’s Capledrae Lairds Sister 3. Bennett’s Graylacier Royal ‘N’ Ancient at Capledrae

English Setter Open (2, 1 abs) 1. Swannery Valentino’s Legacy to Caspellwynd Sh CM. Balanced head with kind eye. Strong in front with good bone and neat feet. Good length of upper arm and deep in brisket, Excellent second thigh, moved OK. BOB

 Graduate (4, 3 abs) 1. Longland’s Velvetine Dawns Early Lite. Broad skull with well set ears, deep brisket and well developed pro-sternum. Level back, hard coat, rounded tail but carried far too high. Needs to watch front movement.

Open (4, 2 abs) 1. Jennings’ Seatallan Shamrock of Kiltyrie Sh CM. BOB. Won on his free, ground covering movement. Intelligent expression, well off for bone, true front and well sprung barrel ribs. Ever wagging tail. 2. Cameron’s Velvetine Stars N Stripes 3. V Dawns Early Lite

Junior (2) 1. Williamson & Thomas’ Ronjalee Roxy Lady. At 13 months I liked her very much and was happy to award her BOB and Group 3. Beautifully balanced, plenty of dog in front, plenty of depth and spring of rib. Strong, wide loins and well developed hind quarters. Moved as little close behind but on a long, free, animated stride. 2. Boyle’s Forthvalley Snow Patrol

Open (4, 2 abs) 1. McAleese’ Lochtaymor Jack frost Sh CM JW. 7 years and all male. Beautiful balance, deep brisket and well ribbed up. Excellent second thigh, in good coat and showing his head off. Hind movement let him down. 2. Hain’s Strathain Blonde Bombshell

Graduate 2, 1 abs) 1. Cullen’s Braidwynn Blake of Auchinbreck. Nicely moulded head on strong neck into well laid shoulders. Deep ribs carried well back, excellent croup, hocks well let down, moderate turn of stifle and good second thigh development.

Open (2, 1 abs) 1. Cullen’s Orkhatos Pemberley at Auchinbreck.BOB. Balanced head, small, well set ears, strong bone and excellent behind with strong, muscular quarters.

English Springer Spaniel Open (3, 1 abs) 1. Stevenson’s Gaolachcara Somhlth. BOB. Built on racy lines with typical movement and great reach and drive. Good length of upper arm and well ribbed up.

Hungarian Vizsla Open (5, 1 abs) 1. Wilson’s Addaci Moonshine at Cuzco. BOB. Noble head, good front angulation displaying strong pro-sternum and plenty of depth. Strong over loin and strong quarters. Best mover in the class. 2. Golden’s Butanben Valentino 3. Wilson’s Cuzco Caytami

AVNSC Open (10, 4 abs) Best class of the day, any of the first 4 could have won. 1. Alcorn & Thomas’ Sh Ch Gunalt Muse at Rutilus JW, Weimaraner. Best AVNSC. A bitch of sheer quality displaying the power and stamina expected from this breed. On the stack I loved everything about her and then she moved like a train on such an effortless stride carrying her topline so well and gliding her way to Group 1. 2. Caffrey & Dods’ Sh Ch Gellyburn Damselfly Sh CM JW, WSS 3. Alcorn & Lynn’s Afterglow Bare Face Lie at Kanix, Pointer

 Minor Puppy 13, 2 abs) Super class of babies. 1. Caffrey & Dods’ Gellyburn Gaelic Damsel at Balcraig, WSS. Head needs to break but she has good finish to her muzzle and such a kind and mischievous eye. Stands on strong bone and neat feet, has an excellent lay back of shoulder and well sprung ribs.
