SCOTTISH GREAT DANE CLUB OPEN SHOW

I was privileged to go over the quality danes in spectacular sunshine with a backdrop of the Scottish hillside. Many thanks to the kind, well organized committee.

PUPPY DOG (3)1 1. Browns Jorgei Beau Jangles 11 months nicely marked harley boy. Ears set well on pleasing head with good length of fore face, good drop of lip, correct teeth and most elegant neck. A little rangy at present needing more front and rear angulation. Moved out easily on nice tight feet with plenty of spring in his stride.

JUNIOR DOG (3)3 1. Battersby and Williams Internos Challenger JW is a gleaming black boy of 14 months with a commanding attitude. Strength of expression with neat ears set and used well on a masculine head, having good mouth, stop and breadth of muzzle. A clean elegant crested neck flowed into well laid shoulders with no creasing on the withers, presenting a well proportioned outline. Nicely filled front with good depth of chest, straight legs and tight feet. Correct topline, rise over the loin and muscular hindquarters with a good turn of stifle. Head held high as he moved smoothly and powerfully around the ring. A worthy BD & BIS today and plenty to come as he matures. 2. Sangsters Lomondane Allistar Mor very dark 15 month brindle with pleasing construction and plenty of substance. Good head planes drop of lip and correct mouth. Moved out smoothly. 3. . Battersby and Williams Internos Arizona

NOVICE DOG (1)1 1. Browns Jorgei Beau Jangles (1 PD)

GRADUATE DOG (2)2 1. MacDonalds Helmlake Joins the Clan at Ranaldane JW. 2 yr old big harly boy with clean underground and heavy black patches. Good earset though a little broad in top skull. Stop well defined with good drop of lip and strength of jaw. Plenty of front with good angulation for and aft presenting a pleasing outline and not disappointing on the move. 2. Battersby and Williams Internos Arizona, 14 month harly boy with ears set high on a nice, proportionately narrow head. Alert expression with reachy neck set in correct shoulders, just not at ease in the ring today.

LIMIT DOG (3)3 1. Gormleys Tantallon Cletic Advocate at Baadswood a showy , happy 4 yr old fawn boy with good head planes, dark eyes and plenty of expression. A super outline on a muscular well angulated frame with good topline and powerful even movement. 2.Youngs St. Piran Cornish Agent 2 yr old nicely marked brindle boy with the same sire as 1. Again well constructed with a pleasing outline and good on the move, just needing a little more enthusiasm today. 3. Wilsons Allours Elgar

SPECIAL OPEN FAWN DOG (2)2 1.Lawton & Sneddons Clonallen Hellsablazing at Thornbrae at 3 ½ this well put together fawn boy with a dark mask showed a striking outline with correct head held high and, alert well set ears producing plenty of expressionon on a long crested neck. Good teeth and drop of lip and kind dark eyes. Well filled front with good lay of shoulders and nicely turned stifle. Moved out with drive. 2.Wilsons Allours Elgar chunky red fawn boy placed 3rd in the previous class. Filled front and depth of chest, could do with more layback of shoulders but looked mature for his 3 ½ years.

SPECIAL OPEN BRINDLE DOG (3)2 1. Sangsters Lomondane Allistar Mor (2 JD). 2.Youngs St Piran Cornish Agent. Very close between these two as there was plenty to like in both of them just a little more energy from no.1.

OPEN DOG (3)2 1. Cunningham & Robertsons Ch Lomondane Gies a Break JW ShCM 4 yr old solid fawn boy with super head and expressive nicely shaped dark eyes, correct mouth drop of lip and good ear set on well crested neck which flowed smoothly into well layed shoulder. Good straight front legs with nice flat bone, deep brisket and well sprung ribs. Overall powerfull in appearance with correct topline and super smooth movement RBD. 2.McGlynns Allours Romeo 4 ½ yr cleanly marked harly with plenty of elegance and spring in his movement. Front not as good as 1 and a little long in body.

VETERAN DOG (3)2 1. Lawton & Seddons Ch & IR Ch Garsak Sir Louie at Thornbrae what a thrill to go over this 8 yr old with such a great history. Nothing disappointed, a little greyer but everything still working. A good head on this solid old boy keeping his topline as he obviously enjoyed powering around the ring. 2. Lawton & Seddons Ryattlynn Barney Rubble at Thornbrae a 7 yr old harly boy beautifully marked with nice head and expression. Both boys a credit to their owners and breeders.

PUPPY BITCH (3)2 1.Biltons Kuccara Kakita It is not often that one can bring to mind a detailed image of a dane, but this big beautiful 9 month old puppy can be recalled over and over. Her head correct to breed standard and also the prettiest of expressions with her dark eyes and mask, furrowed brow and well used ears. A long elegant neck, correct angulation front and back with filled deep front and plenty of bone. Nicely developing hindquarters, good length of tail, tight feet, good topline and rise over the loin. Well balanced throughout with free driving movement. BP 2.Harveys Droolakiss Lady Kala sweet 7 month blue puppy finer than 1 with good earset and good front. Looked good standing and moved well.

JUNIOR BITCH (5)3 1.Young, Cunningham & Robertsons Lomondane Clootie Dumpling. Nothing stodgy on this 14 month brindle girl with correct and pleasing head, set off by neat and alert ears. Good teeth, well arched clean long neck set in correct shoulders with filled forechest. Deep brisket and good tuck up, presenting a lovely outline and moving well. 2. Gilberts Lomondane Coorie in Tae Hazedan JW. A very well constructed fawn bitch of great elegance with very good topline and super smooth movement. Preferred the head of 1. 3.Armour & Hookers Garsak to Dye For

NOVICE BITCH (7)5 1. Biltons Kuccara Kakita (see puppy bitch) 2.Armour & Hookers Garsak to Dye For, another well made fawn girl who challenged hard in JB. Good expression on a nice head. Good depth of chest on a well muscled frame with good second thigh and grace on the move. 3.McHardys Garsak My Appointment

GRADUATE BITCH (7)6 1.Peats Mohos Secret Gift at Fyrdrach a beautifully made 11/2 yr old impressive fawn bitch with a commanding attitude for such a youngster. Very well proportioned head of equal length and breadth, kind eyes expressive brows and ears set high. Well balanced outline with correct angulation, elbows tucked well under and allover muscled condition. Good tail set and very nice on the move. A strong contender in the bitch line up.2. Cunningham & Robertsons Lomondane Gaunyersel 15 month brindle girl with showy arched neck, well used ears and plenty of expression. Well filled front, deep brisket, good tuck up and rise over the loin. Moved out well. 3. Nayars Roucandane Total Tottie at Kemanilo

LIMIT BITCH (2)1 1. Morgans Damarkan Push the Button 22 month cleanly marked harly girl with nice head and correct dentition. Could do with more turn of stifle but moved with plenty of drive.

SPECIAL OPEN BLACK/BLUE/HARL/MANTLE BITCH (4)3 1. Kevans Machamore Alloa JW 4 yr old showy black girl with correct head planes, kind alert eyes, good bite, broad muzzle and nice drop of lip. Substantial yet elegant with correct angulation, depth of brisket and good tuck up presenting an impressive outline. Moved out lithely with plenty of drive.RBB 2. Morgans Damarkan Push the Button (1 in LB ) 3.Browns Sarawen the Miracle.

OPEN BITCH (5)5 1. Armour & Hookers Ch. Garsak Name of the Game. A very strong class with this most elegant of fawn bitches winning on her superb movement today. This 3 yr old has a feminine head of correct proportions, good teeth and a clean long neck. Her shoulders are well muscled, but not overly so, and well sloped back. Deep in brisket with ribs well sprung and a nice tuck up. Powerful hindquarters with good 2nd thigh and well turned stifle. BB & RBIS 2. Roses Roseark Colorado JW this 3 yr old fawn girl never stops showing with her aloof attitude and amazing crested neck, presenting a superb outline. A strong yet feminine headpiece with very expressive eyes, and good drop of lip. Filled front with good topline and tail set, moving powerfully. 3.Gilberts Ch. Lomondane Cranochan at Hazedan

VETERAN BITCH (3)1 1.Cunningham & Robertsons Lomondane Lindores at 8 yrs old this snowy faced dark brindle girl has lost non of her dash and dare. Still retaining her elegance with a long arched neck, deep chest and a well turned stifle, she moved smoothly around the ring to win BV.
