1. Purnell Carpenter & Preddy’s Morning Calm Eyes Of An Angel (Korean Jindo). Lovely fawn 6 mo bitch puppy. Feminine head with good eye shape and ears – one still travelling, but it was up enough to show correct shape and size. Correct double coat of good texture in super condition. Very nicely balanced front and rear, strong in body with level topline and good tailset. Very sound on the move. Lovely temperament and happy with her handler in the ring. BAV Import Register and BP.

AV Utility Minor Puppy Dog (3)

1. Chamberlain & Barron’s Tinghsa Bells Johnny B Goode at Araki (NAF/TAF) (Tibetan Terrier). Really attractive black and white baby – looking just as he ought. Square outline, nice angulation, good bone and feet. Puppy coat presented well. Sound on the move and full of confidence. PG4

2. Smith’s Dacfolke Barney Bear (German Spitz, Mittel). Black/White parti colour pup. Developing nicely. Correct angulation and nice overall balance. Neat bone and good feet. Moved well when settled.

3. Harvey’s Captainbull Im Bronson (Bulldog)

1. Eden’s Steyndal Diamond White at Dalens (Dalmatian). Super Dalmatian baby with good spotting. Very feminine head, good length of neck, correct topline and tail carriage. Presented a picture of elegance and balance. On the move she did not disappoint. Really promising pup. PG3.

2. Turner’s Mayumi’s Whoose That Girl (Japanese Spitz). Very feminine puppy, coat presented in tip-top condition. Good head – with correct eye shape and ear set giving lovely expression. Good body proportions, neat bone, good feet. Moved well when settled.

AV Utility Puppy Bitch (4)

1. Purnell Carpenter & Preddy’s Estava Rain World In My Eyes Avec Overhill (Imp Nor) (Akita). My puppy star of the day. Oozed Akita type. Feminine head, correct eye and ear shape; lovely neck, strong body with level topline. Super balanced, moderate angulation fore and aft. Fawn double coat of correct texture. Good bone and correct tight feet. Moved out so soundly, with good drive. Couldn’t get past her for BPIS.

2. Bevis’ Skyvanna Free Spriit of Starlance (Tibetan Spaniel). Lovely TS puppy with good head and underjaw, well set ears, all adding to lovely expression. Correct proportions, sufficient bone and nice feet. Glamourous coat with attractive shading made for a striking picture. Moved well. Nice pup.

1. Carter & Barnett’s Corrolls Pimp My Ride Among Alamiks (Lhaso Apso). So full of attitude! Good head, correct bite, lovely neck, flowing into solid, well-proportioned body. Good angulation. In superb coat which was presented to perfection. Moved round the ring very soundly and with real haughtiness. Lovely youngster.

2. Harrison’s Araki Schneeflocker (Tibetan Terrier). Quality TT with good square outline. Good head and overall proportions. In lovely coat which was well presented. Sound on the move, which was typical for the breed. Not the sparkle of one, which told against him on the day.

3. Turner’s Mayumi’s Perfect Prince (Japanese Spitz)

AV Utility Junior Bitch (2,1)

1. Plummer’s Araki Dream Perfection For Tetsikarma (Tibetan Terrier). Another very nice TT. Pretty girl, good head and neck and lovely square outline. Good bone and feet. In good coat, well presented. Lovely side gait.

AV Utility Graduate (6,1)

1. Harvey’s Captainbull She’s Esme (Bulldog). Nothing overdone on this bitch. Feminine head with good expression and bite. Strong neck and compact body. Good breadth of chest and strength behind. Sound, typical movement.

2. Hall’s Belgay Shabra (Tibetan Spaniel). Lovely TS with sweet expression. Good head, correct underjaw; nicely set ears and good neck. Correct proportions. Coat in good condition and nicely presented. Sound on the move.

1. Jones’ Valleyrise Inspiration (Kooikerhondje). Pretty and feminine, neat bitch. Lovely head and good ear set and fall. Beautiful coat of vibrant colour with good clear white with lovely tail plume. Correct proportions and presents a balanced outline standing and very sound on the move. Happy and confident.

2. Harrison’s Tegkei Playing The Game (Tibetan Terrier). Attractive cream-gold, 2 year old. Glamourous appearance in lovely coat which was presented well. Good proportions. Moved well.

3. Turner’s Mayumi’s Simply The Best (Japanese Spitz)

1. Plummer & Bingham’s Silgarhi Holy Smoke To Tetsikarma JW (Tibetan Terrier). Quality TT with super square outline. Lovely head and neck and good front. Level topline. Good bone and feet. Black coat presented well. Lovely confident attitude. Moved really well.

2. Hall’s Balgay Kitang Po (Tibetan Spaniel). Very nice boy of good type. Handsome head. Correct proportions, beautiful coat, presented in first class order. Very nice side gait.

3. Turner’s Mayumi’s The One And Only (Japanese Spitz)

1. Turner’s Glamglow’s All That Glitters At Mayumi (Japanese Spitz). Very pretty bitch. Lovely clean head, with good eye shape and ear set. Correct body proportions, neat bone and good feet. Very sound on the move.

AV Utility Veteran Dog (5,3)

1. Plummer’s Tetsikarma Stargazer ShCM (Tibetan Terrier). 10 year old male, not showing his age at all. Black/white coat in very good condition and well presented. Lovely in body, with moderate angulation, good bone and feet. Correct outline. Very sound on the move.

2. Hirstwood’s Quintrelle Colour Me Happy ShCM (Tibetan Spaniel). Nicely put together, with good proportions. Moved soundly. Not as ‘on his toes’ as 1.

AV Utility Veteran Bitch (9,4)

Some super veterans in this class – tough decisions!

1. Bardsley’s Ch Neradmik Ruby Slipper for Skathki (Keeshond). 8 year old with super attitude and having a great time. Loved her shape and proportions. Double coat of correct texture and well presented. Very sound on the move.

2. Keiradal Mel’s Destiny (Dalmatian). Liver-spotted, also 8 years old. Feminine and elegant of very good proportions. Very sound on the move.

3. Cirtap’s Hertogin Freya Van Qira-T at Genetika (Kooikerhondje)

4. Hirstwood’s Quintrelle Colour Me Pretty (Tibetan Spaniel)

AV Utility Brace or Team (5)

I loved this class – and all five pairs put on a good show – and the handlers too!

1. Harrison’s Tibetan Terriers. Matched in colour and, by the time they had been on the move, matched in step too! Made a lovely Brace.

2. Marshall’s Keeshonds. Well matched and moved well together.

Utility Group/BIS:

Well filled group and the size of my short list showed the quality that the judges had sent through.

1. Carter & Barnett’s Belazieth Sundance Kid With Alamiks JW (Lhasa Apso). Attitude, quality and presentation came together in a stunning package with this lovely Lhasa Apso. Totally convinced he was the best – and it was hard to deny!

2. Church’s Ch Sanyinko Silver Spirit (Japanese Spitz). Really lovely, quality JS. Super breed type, presented beautifully, and so sound. Looked the part to take this well-deserved RBIS.

3. Cargill & Suiter’s Genetika Rumpelstiltskin (Kooikerhondje)

Utiliy Puppy Group/BPIS:

1. Purnell Carpenter & Preddy’s Estava Rain World In My Eyes Avec Overhill (Imp Nor) (Akita). This youngster had it all today and I was pleased to award her BIS4 as well as BPIS. As I noted in AV Puppy Bitch, my puppy star of the day and just oozed type and so sound.

2. O’Higgins & Knudten’s Smart Connection Sign Of Catwalk (imp Rus) (Standard Poodle). Really impressive youngster. Such elegance combined with sound poodle movement. Lovely clean head, good neck, short back, strong front and rear. An absolute picture standing and on the move.

3. Edens’ Steyndal Diamond White At Dalens (Dalmatian)

4. Chamberlain & Barron’s Tinghsa Bells Johnny B Goode At Araki (NAF/TAF) (Tibetan Terrier)

Utility Veteran in Show

1. BVIS: Eden’s Dalens Hot Gossip JW ShCM VW. Super 10 year old Dalmatian. Strong, handsome male. In good, well-muscled condition. Well spotted and retaining his ‘figure’ and elegance. Lovely, balanced dog who was totally sound on the move and showing great showmanship.

2. RBVIS: Hill’s Whizzkees Ebony Silver for Plymkees JW ShCM. 8 year old Keeshond in great condition and showing how well some breeds continue to be competitive. Very pretty, in glorious coat, which was presented so well. Enthusiastic and with a great sense of fun – but also very sound and moved so well.
