JUNIOR HANDLING 12-16 YEARS

Two very good handlers in this class. Both listened carefully for instruction and were attentive with their dogs. Both handlers did an amazing job of displaying their dogs to advantage whilst not attracting attention to themselves. At no point did either come between me and their dog. 1st just had the edge on looking more relaxed about the task at hand. We all suffer with a little nervousness when we walk into the ring, a little tends to give us a bit of edge to stay focussed. As experience grows, so will confidence. I appreciated the humble manner of both handlers and their sportsmanship. You have the tools and capability to reach for the stars and I look forward to seeing you progress to the very top. Well done!

1ST – FAYE HENDRIE

2ND – JAIDA DAVIES

ADULT HANDLING

Handling in this class was of a high quality my 1st prize winner could adapt herself into any group ring having a broad base of experience. Today she did not let herself down and made her dog unmissable at all times. Great showmanship was displayed by all handlers, which is something I rate very highly when judging handling classes. Compassion for their dogs is another issue I focus on and I am happy to report that all handlers displayed great compassion for their dogs too. My eventual decision was based on how at ease the handlers were with their task, and how closely the followed my directions. !st place simply did not faulter at all, and did everything I asked and made it look incredibly easy, but without attracting attention to herself and away from her dog.
