Bath Canine Society Open Show – 3rd September 2017 – Alex Paisey

Firstly my extended thanks to Bath Canine Society Committee for the invitation but also for a well run show despite the weather. I would like to thank my steward, who did an amazing job keeping things going. Finally those exhibitors who braved the wind and rain, a massive thank you to you also!

Basset Fauve De Bretagne

Junior Dog or Bitch

1st - Thornton’s - MOCHRAS MARIE – 6.5months old Bitch, in good condition and a pleasant outline. Cheeky expression with a good dark eye. Good ear length and well set. Appropriate neck length leading to a well made front and tight feet. Chest and sternum appropriate for age. Well ribbed and of good length. Loin also in proportion. A nice topline also. Rear well-constructed and toned. Well carried and tail. Good width throughout. Lively on the move today and enjoying the rain, nice in profile and drove out well.

Open Dog or Bitch

1st -Thornton’s - MOCHRAS MAHLINDA – 12month old bitch, smart and of good substance. Rich colour and loving her time in the ring. Lovely head, in proportion accompanied by expressive eyes. Good bite, strong jaw. Well set ears of good length. Well supported neck leading to a good front, straight and tightly footed also. Good width at chest, good topline supported by a good length of rib and loin. Proudly carried tail and well constructed, toned rear. Drove out with real purpose and covered the ground well, happy to award BOB.

1st - Copperthwaite’s - MOUSHZAD CALIPHA ORLIE (IMP) – Very striking ivory/white male of 3 years. Lovely outline and of excellent substance. Smart head, long and in proportion, with a masculine expression. Strong bite. Ears well set and of excellent length. Lovely silky furnishings. Super neck length leading to a well set shoulder. Good muscle throughout. Straight front. Lovely deep chest and of good length. Good topline and strong loin. Well placed hip bones providing width. Well constructed rear helping this boy move around the ring with ease.
